I walked out of the empty HQ. The citizens of Ecruteak were waiting
outside the door. They had seen the Rockets run out the door and they
were waiitng to see who had defeated them. I guess they were expecting
the Pokemon Master, Ash Ketchum, or his wife, Misty, because they were
pretty surprised to see me.
     Professor Hitaru was out there, too. "JENN!!", she cried. "You did
it!" I put on a big grin. Somebody tapped me on the shoulder. I was
prepared to speak but my mouth hung open, speechless. Not too
attractive... I finally managed to squeak out something.
      "Bobby?" I said, still gaping. but my brother was dead...wasn't
he? A girl stepped up to his side. "Brooke?" I asked. But I thought my
brother and sister were dead... "I thought you were..." I started. But I
couldn't squeeze out the last word. "They were holding us captive," said
Brooke, apparently glad to be back. "Thank you SO much for defeating
them," said Bobby. I guessed Giovanni was being sarcastic when he said
that he "appeared from the clouds".
      My parents ran up to me. Then they looked at Bobby and Brooke.
Like me, they couldn't speak. Then my mom wrapped all of us in a hug.
"I'm so glad you're all safe..." she said, sobbing.
      The mayor stepped up to a platform. "We are here to celebrate the
defeat of a group of evil, team Rocket. One young woman was brave enough
to stand up to them, and she almost died trying to save us all.
Congratulations, Miss Jenn Frost! You did well," he said. Then he
presented me with a medal. I smiled so hard that I thought my grin was
just going to crack. Everybody was cheering. at least life was back to
normal...
