“Welcome to the Cerulean Gym’s Christmas performance! This year, to kick things off, we have the Cerulean Gym Leader herself, Misty K. Waterflower!” Daisy announced to rows and rows of people.
“Hi! Just as Daisy said, I’m going to kick things off with one of my favorite songs. All I want for Christmas is you,” Misty said, smiling.
“Is there, like, anyone you’d like to like dedicate this to?” Lily asked.
“Yes. The love of my life. If you happen to be listening, I hope that you get the message,” Misty said, blushing.
‘He better be,’ her sisters thought.
“So let’s like get started!” Violet cheered.
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There's just one thing I need
I don't care about presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you.
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don't care about presents
underneath the Christmas tree
I don't need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas day
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you
You baby
I won't ask for much this Christmas
I won't even wish for snow
I'm just gonna keep on waiting
Underneath the mistletoe
I won't make a list and send it
To the North Pole for Saint Nick
I won't even stay awake to
Hear those magic reindeer click
'Cause I just want you here tonight
Holding on to me so tight
What more can I do
Baby all I want for Christmas is you
You baby
All the lights are shining
So brightly everywhere
And the sound of children's
Laughter fills the air
And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa won't you bring me the one I really need
Won't you please bring my baby to me
Oh, I don't want a lot for Christmas
This is all I'm asking for
I just want to see my baby
Standing right outside my door
Oh I just want him for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
Baby all I want for Christmas is
You
All I want for Christmas is you baby
All I want for Christmas is you baby
Misty flopped down on the couch. That performance took a lot out of her every year. Why did they have to have it on Christmas Eve this year? She still had a lot to do. She had to send all of the presents for her friends before she fell asleep. It was already 11: 52 p.m. How was she going to do it? She was fighting sleep at the moment and losing already.
I'll have a blue Christmas without you;
I'll be so blue thinking about you.
Decorations of red
on a green Christmas tree
Won't mean a thing if
you're not here with me.
I'll have a blue Christmas, that's certain;
And when that blue heartache starts hurting,
You'll be doing all right
with your Christmas of white,
But I'll have a blue, blue Christmas
Misty shot up from her seat on the couch. She knew that voice. It was him. But where was he?
DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING!
The stroke of twelve and the lights turned on. Misty grabbed her mallet in fear of any intruder.
“MERRY CHRISTMAS, MISTY!!!!” All of her friends and family shouted.
Misty dropped the mallet and her hands flew up to cover her mouth.
“Hey, Misty, we’ve, like got a great present for you,” Daisy said, “Bring him out!”
“Him?” Misty questioned.
She turned to where her two other sisters were coming from and nearly broke out in laughter. There was Ash wrapped up in Christmas wrapping paper and a bow stuck on his forehead. He had to hop to move. They wrapped ever inch of his body except his head.
“Ash?” she laughed.
“Not my idea. Brock decided to do this and they pinned me down while they wrapped me. Not fun,” Ash sighed.
Misty helped him unwrap himself, but refused to take off the bow.
“So why were you singing?” Misty asked.
“You could hear that?” Ash questioned, suddenly shy.
“Yep,” Misty stated, smiling.
“I was bored,” Ash said quickly.
“Oh,” Misty sighed.
“And…” Ash paused, “I really missed you, Mist.”
“Ash…” Misty gasped.
“I heard your song today. It was really beautiful,” Ash said, blushing.
Misty blushed and looked away. She then spotted Pikachu was walking up to them with a small box in it’s mouth. It pawed at it’s trainer’s leg.
“Thanks buddy!” Ash beamed.
Ash handed it to Misty. She looked at him for a second and then unwrapped it. As soon as she did, upon seeing the black velvet of the box in the wrapped package, Ash snatched it back. When Misty would have complained, Ash quickly got down on one leg.
“Misty K. Waterflower, would you marry me?” Ash asked.
Misty could feel the tears in her eyes and nodded yes. The second Ash stood up, she knocked him back down in a tackle of a hug. Ash laughed and returned the hug.
“I love you, Mist,” Ash said, pushing away a lock of hair, “I hope that I granted your Christmas wish.”
“You did,” Misty said, gently kissing him, “All I wanted for Christmas was you, Ash.”
