Being in love with Lance is a very charged feeling. He can feel the bubbles in his blood rising as they clink their glasses together, even though there’s nothing but root beer inside and he’s not one to drink anyway. He’s not quite sure how it happened, because one moment he and Lance were playing at being in love and the next it had happened.

Maybe it’s not a clear-cut thing. Maybe love sneaks up on you, like a Sneasal’s Faint Attack. Maybe it’s always there, but expresses itself at the most unlikely time possible.

Whatever the reason, he’s in love with Lance and quite happy about it, and they kiss after the toast is concluded. Then they go for a spin on Lance’s motorcycle, and race through the night, wildly triumphant, as the moon illuminates their faces.

Lance kisses him again, and he grins, unabashedly coy, as his lover smirks.
