“Hmm?” The Dragon Master glanced at the Champion, who was busy eying a magazine article with a frown marring his face. “What’s gotten you in knots this time?”

Red scowled. “Girls are weird.”

“Oh, undoubtedly.” Lance shot back. “But you seem especially distressed.”

“It’s just that this girl I have never met has the audacity to pronounce herself my true love. And this magazine published her letter!” Red fumed.

“They have decidedly bad taste, certainly.”

“I don’t even like girls!”

“ A fact of which the public is sadly unaware.”

“The only person I love is you!”

“I am very grateful for that.” Lance put his report down and walked to Red’s chair. “Would you like a hug?”

“I’m like a lot more than just a hug.” Red muttered, but accepted the hug eagerly.

Lance smirked. “I think I can work with that.”

Red just grinned back, feeling his spirits lifting already.
