Graveler flexed his muscles again, marveling
at how strong his arms were now. They had definitely gained more tone since his
evolution, but he was more worried about his legs. When he was a Geodude, they
had not existed, period, but now, he needed to learn how to toughen them up as
well.
Stone skin or not, underneath, he
could still get fat and flabby, and that was the last thing he wanted!
He walked over to the edge of the
meadow, found a sizeable rock, and began doing lifts. He was still practicing
when a Trainer and his Pokemon walked past.
Two minutes later, he was lying in a
deluge of water. Three minutes later, he was inside of a Poke Ball.
No matter how strong he got, there
were some things he could not protect himself from, and being captured was one
of them…
Oh, if only he had still been a
Geodude! Then, he was sure the boy would have ignored him – they usually did.
Now what was he supposed to do?

I think the Pokemon
fandom, as a whole, lacks general fiction that is not some variant of the New
Trainer story. Just about everything is a pairing…
