To be honest, this is not at all how she envisioned her first date! Misty watched as Ash covered his French fries with another layer of ketchup, shuddering. At least Pikachu was at home!

She liked Pikachu, but she wanted privacy!

Instead, Ash had taken her to McDonald’s.

Misty smoothed down her pale blue skirt, stifling a sigh as she took a sip of her milkshake. Gourmet this was not!

“Want a fry, Misty?”

Well, Ash was not romantic, but they were going out now. She’d just have to grit her teeth and bear it. Or maybe she could ask him to take lessons from Rudy!

“Sure.” That was probably the best she could hope for right now.

Ash beamed as he handed her a fry, biting into his double cheeseburger.

Misty resisted the urge to roll her eyes, and reminded herself that romance took practice.
