It wasn’t supposed to end this way!

Max tries hard to stop crying, because his lenses are so fogged up he can barely see through them, but he can’t. He doesn’t know why this happened – Ash has always been lucky, but it seems like that streak has finally run out.

The coffin is dull burgundy, and Professor Oak is still droning on and on about what a great person Ash was, and how he touched the lives of so many people, but Max doesn’t care! He doesn’t want pointless eulogies or bright medals or sympathy!

He just wants Ash back!
