The morning sun shone over the ocean. In cut through the light fog, promising another hot day in the Orange Islands. The lapras played in the warm water, vanishing in out of the mist. And above all of this, four pokemon flew to a sunny destination.
*Electric types are better than fire or ice. Since I am the electric focus holder, I am the best pokemon in the world, * said one of the four, a large fearsome looking yellow bird.
*Candice, I must disagree. Ice is so much better. I do not care for your vapid boasts, * said a beautiful shimmering blue bird.
*Joslynn, Candice don't take this the wrong way but, your both idiots. Fire is superior, * said a fiery red bird. The legendary birds started squawking at each in earnest now, each arguing that they were better.
(Those three never stop arguing. You wouldn't think of them as best friends they way they carry on. ) Kimberly Vision the fourth pokemon thought. Robert who asked her a question interrupted her train of thought.
*Kim, what type do you think is better? Fire, ice or electric, * he inquired.
Kimberly stopped and hovered for a bit to think, the birds flapping their wings behind her to keep in the air. They waited to hear what she had to say.
She smiled and said, *Psychic is the best of course. *
*THAT WASN'T AN OPTION! * The other three yelled, causing Kimberly to fly back head over heels.
*Well, * she said righting herself, *I'll never get involved in one of your "friendly discussions" again if your going to be like that. Besides you know I'm right, otherwise why would you ask me? * She than turned her back on them and looked down at the ocean.
As a matter of fact this is what the other three where waiting for, an excuse. They deiced they had to prove who was better. And they deiced to get rid of her first so she won't tell the others they were doing this instead of their mission. Fire gathered in Robert Ignite's beak. Electricity jumped across Candice Storm's body. And a ball of pure cold formed in front of Joslynn Frigid's open beak. As they prepared to fire on an unsuspecting Vision, She noticed something that caught her curiosity. And out of the circle, no one was more curious than she was.
*Hey! It's a boat! * She exclaimed cheerfully. She teleported just as a fire spin, ice beam, and a thunder shock all hit where she last was.
*GET BACK HERE! * The three birds screamed and followed her down.
Kimberly appeared on the deck of the boat. It was a small craft; white washed and was probably used to ferry people from one island to another. It was powered by a motor, but could raise a sail need be. It had a compartment in the middle that was a combination of living quarters and pilothouse. She hovered over to look into the windows of the ship. Inside was a mid age woman with curly brown hair that was just starting to gray. She was wearing a white sailors suit. As Kimberly flew over to another window to get a closer look, a talon grabbed her tail and pulled up and away from the ship.
*What are you doing? We can't be seen! * Robert screeched as Kimberly pouted upside down.
*The mist I made will be dissipated soon so that no one will get suspicious. We must reach Shamuti Island before than. * Joslynn said. And the birds flew off, dragging a certain mew behind them. The previous argument was forgotten. And the boat followed silently.
The four landed on a sandy beach north of town. It was next to a road. *We have to find the "Island Maiden". She will have the ocarina that can summon Lugia without risking destroying the world. We will have to change in order to do it. * Kimberly said. Her symbol appeared below her as she floated up. A twilight purple cylinder rose up from the circle on the ground. It changed shape to form a semi transparent sphere in which a glowing mew with the Mind's eye on forehead could be seen. In vanished in a flash of psychic energy and purple light to leave a 23-year old woman with lavender neck length hair. She was wearing a white fleece with light purple pants. She had sparkling blue eyes and light pink sneakers.
An ice-blue cylinder enveloped the articuno. It froze into the shape of the bird with its wings out stretched and its head crying into the air. The shape shattered to reveal a stunning 24-year old woman with length blue hair. She had hypnotic red eyes and was wearing a form hugging sleeveless blue dress that reaches her mid-thighs. She had on blue high heel shoes with blue gloves that reach her elbows.
With a flash of lighting a yellow cylinder gather around Candice. It changed shape to fit the zapdos's body, who had her head down and her wings closed. It cracked with the sound of thunder and the smell of ozone to illuminate a blonde 24-four year old woman with spiky sweptback hair. She was wearing a dusty pale yellow trench coat with tan work pants and brown rubber soled boots. Underneath the coat she was wearing a brighter colored yellow short sleeved shirt and fingerless yellow gloves.
A cylinder of fiery red appeared with a crackle of flames. It melted into the shape of the moltres with its wings spread out in a glide. In an explosion of fire a crouching man appeared. He looked 24-years old and had a large amount of spiky red hair. He was wearing a black jacket with flames embroidered around the bottoms and matching bell-bottoms. He had on a pair of red high tops and a red short sleeve shirt on. His black eyes held a glint of warmth and merriment.
"Let's party," Candice said. The group walked to into the town.
The four had just arrived when the whole town was preparing to celebrate the legend festival. Islanders ran to and fro, placing banners and decorations up high. Colorful booths filled with unique merchandise lined the streets. Kimberly was ahead, using her psychic powers to find their target. She was walking with her eyes closed so it was no surprise when she tripped over someone coming on to the street from between two booths.
"Hey, watch were your going!" said an indigent voice.
"Sorry, I was kinda in a hurry and..." Kimberly started then noticed she was talking to a ninetales. "I wasn't looking where I was going," She finished after a short pause.
"A talking ninetales? You don't see those everyday," Robert said to Joslynn who didn't seem to care.
"Are you with a gatherer?" Candice asked as the two untangled themselves.
"No, I'm just a talking pokemon wandering around by myself. Of course I am with one." The fox-like pokemon said. (Weird, most humans don't call trainers by the old name.) She thought.
"Why you sarcastic little wretch. How dare you speak to me that way! Do you know who I am!" Candice said with her voice rising and lighting flashing in her eyes.
"Um, no we just meet," the ninetales calmly replied.
Before the situation got worse, a 17 year old youth ran up behind the ninetales. "Nina, there you are," He said.
"Hi, Isaac," Nina greeted. Isaac had black hair, and his left eye was scarred with three slash marks and was basically destroyed. He usually has some of his hair covering it but due to the fact that he had just finished running it could be seen. Due to having enhanced psychic powers, his right eye was red, and has a star shape in it that changes colors like raindrops do when light passes through them. He was wearing a dark blue jacket with light blue sleeves and basic blue jeans with black sneakers.
"Robert, what's wrong with Candy?" asked Joslynn turning from looking at the people on the street.
"You mean you weren't paying attention?" Robert asked incredulously. He started to twitch in anger.
"Hey, what are you two doing? I was just insulted. You two have to back me up!" Candice yelled. "And don't call me Candy!"
"Well if the ice princess, thaws out, maybe we could, C-A-N-D-Y," Robert said. By this time a crowd started to from looking at the three arguing fools.
"That's it. My pride can take no more. Let's get it on!" Candice roared. She jumped on Robert and Joslynn pulling them to the ground.
Isaac and Nina watched as the three started to beat the stuffing out of each other. Kimberly shook her head and sighed as sirens approached from the distance. Later, a battered threesome sat on a fountain in the square in front of the police station. Isaac and Nina were standing behind Kimberly who was lecturing all three of them.
"You three are lucky that the police let you off with a warning, next time you might be in serous trouble!" She said. Candice glared with her one good eye, the other was swollen shut. Robert nodded, then grabbed the ice pack before it fell off his head. And Joslynn stopped babying her left arm, which was in a sling. "Now that is settled, let's have a proper introduction," She said. And the group exchanged names.
"Did you four come to Shamuti Island for the festival?" Nina asked.
"Something like that. We came looking for a friend of ours. She was carrying an antique instrument, an ocarina." Joslynn said. Isaac looked thoughtful.
"I think I know who you want. Follow me," He said. The four travelers walked after the pokemon and friend. Isaac explained that he was a trainer in the Orange Islands and he and Nina came to the Legend festival each year. When Kimberly asked what happen to his left eye, he respond by say he lost in a battle. After that they where fairly quiet.
Isaac led the group to the port where he had a small motor boat waiting. "Here she is, my boat the Flying Pixie. She will get us to guardian hill." Isaac said pointing out his boat. It was a streamline affair, with a cool red hull. The wheelhouse was built low so that boat could move faster and it was a painted a cream color. The boat's name was painted on the back along with a picture of a running vulpix. As soon as the group got aboard, Isaac cast off.
"Hey V2! We're back!" Nina yelled as she entered the pilothouse. As the others enter the pilothouse the noticed two things, one it was a lot bigger on the inside and two, there was a porygon2 looking back from the wheel.
Kimberly rushed forward and asked, "How are you driving? How fast can this go? What does this red button do?
The porygon named V2 answered in a mechanical voice, "I-am-connected-to-the-ships computer-and-am-piloting-by-direct-thought. This-vessal-can-go-up-to-125-knots-in-boat-mode, 300-knots-in-hydroplane-mode, 100-knots-in-mini-sub-mode, and-up-to-95-knots-in-sail-mode. And-that-red-lever-will-change-the-craft-to-hydroplane-mode."
"Oh, this craft is pretty vessel," Kimberly said in awe.
"Yep, V2 and I made all the modifications ourselves," Isaac said walking in to see were the boat was going. The others were looking at the decor. The inside of the boat was currently divided into six rooms. The main room was a combination of a dinning/kitchen, navigation area. The front half of the room was sectioned off into the piloting room. From this area five halls lead off to the rooms, one for each of Isaac's pokemon and Isaac himself. Lastly there was a hatch in the main room, which lead to the engine room. A modified thunder stone powered the whole ship.
The Kimberly, Robert, Joslynn, Candice, Isaac, and Nina were just sitting down in the main room about to make small talk, when a vaporeon and another eeveeloution walked in.
*Isaac we heard voice's... * started the strange pokemon when she noticed the other four people. With a small cry she jumped behind the vaporeon.
*Eva, I don't think these are bad people, * said the vaporeon softly *I don't think you should be afraid. *
"Yeah, were all friends here," Robert said.
"I didn't know you could understand pokemon talk!" Nina exclaimed. (These people keep getting odder and odder,) she mused to herself.
There was a brief pause, then Isaac said "Meet Undine the vaporeon and Eva the Opaleon." The vaporeon was a mid-sized blue furred creature with a mermaid tail and a fin like ruff around her neck. The opaleon had opal colored fur, a blue jewel in her neck and a ruff around her neck that was a darker shade of blue. Her most distinguishing features were a pair of feathery wings and a small horn on her fore head.
Eva said *Hi, * then hid back behind her sister. Undine said *Hello. * Everyone else expressed his or her greetings and names. As everyone made small talk, Eva overcame some of her shyness and trotted closer to the group. And the boat filled with new friends moved on.
"There it is," Isaac said pointing out the window at bluff above the beach. "We can land next to that other boat and hike up to it."
"Other boat?" questioned Candice "What boat?"
"That one," Nina pointed out. When the Flying Pixie pulled up to the beach, everyone could see it was the boat from earlier that morning. The group though nothing of it and everyone but V2, who had to stay behind to watch the ship, decided to hike up to the bluff. Isaac and Nina where in the lead, followed by Kimberly and Undine. Joslynn and Candice where next, and lastly were Robert and Eva, who seemed to really be hitting it off.
"Isaac, do those people seem weird to you?" Nina asked a bit of worry in her voice.
"No, not really. After all, anything's possible in this world." Isaac said.
"If you say so. But, still they seem to be hiding something," Nina said. Before Isaac could reply, a beautiful, but haunting melody drifted though the air. It sounded almost the like the cry of some great beast, searching for someone or something.
"Isaac turned and said over one shoulder, "I would like you to meet Melody." The group reached the top of a bluff, and all conversation came to a halt as they surveyed the scene before them. A young girl was lying comatose on the ground. Next to her was a fainted slowking. They where both lying in the middle of a circle of stone pillars, in front of an altar with three glass balls in it. On siting on the steps of the altar was a mid-aged woman with curly brown hair that was graying. She was wearing a white sailor's outfit and brown shoes. She was also playing an antique ocarina that was shaped like a shell with her eyes closed.
*What's happened here, * Undine asked looking at the mystery woman. She stopped playing and opened her eyes looking right at the pokemon. They were a muddy black color. They looked like the eyes of ancient something, suffering from some sick mortal disease, which rots the body and the mind. Undine blinked once and took a half a step back. When she did and looked again the ladies eyes where now a playful and sparkly black color.
"Hey lady, what happened here?" Kimberly repeated the question. The lady looked into her eyes and Kimberly tried reading her mind. Kimberly stepped back like Undine, than screamed war cry. She fired a psybeam, which rushed though the air to the lady. She stood, than leapt at the last minute avoiding the powerful beam, which blew the top off of the altar. About six feet in the air the woman's features ran like tallow, changing shape to revel a man dressed in a full dark red suit with the arcane markings around the jacket cuffs, white shoes and a white shirt under the jacket. He landed on a stone pillar after executing a perfect back flip. He stood with one foot behind the other, with the ocarina in one hand still. His dark pink hair blew in the now rising wind.
"Kain Zauriel," Kimberly said in deadpan voice. Isaac ran over to check on Melody and the slowking, his pokemon following him. Dark clouds started to form as Kain looked down on all present.
"Why Kimberly my dear, you don't seem to be happy to see your old love return?" the dark man said. Kimberly responded by changing back into her pokemon form.
*If it's the last thing I do, I will send you back to the Dark Abyss my self! * She screamed. *Third Eye! *
{Attack: Third Eye At: 220 Ar: 100 The Mind's eye symbol appears on the users forehead. A beam of concentrated psychic force is fired at the target. This telekinetic force is capable of puncturing a target, causing them to explode. It is effective on steel types because of the concentration. 50% chance of instant faint, 50% chance of instant kill.}
He laughed as the beam hit an invisible barrier, causing it to split in two and deflect around him. Isaac and his pokemon looked at the mew then at the remaining three humans.
"Let me even the odds," Kain said still cackling. He jumped did a flip and a spin off the side of the bluff. The dark clouds now covered the whole sky. The earth started to shake and his voice said, "The time has come for the evil to control, killing all that stand in the way. The day of the soul has ended and only Hell remains," Suddenly the same song started to play from before, this time more dark and lonely. It sounded like a soul trapped in darkness, never to be released. A whirlwind of water rose into the sky then broke apart to reveal Lugia the great beast of the sea. But, something was wrong. His eyes were soulless black pits, and a dark pink ditto holding an ocarina was on top of his head.
The ditto leap into the air transforming into a dark pink mew. Kimberly floated up to meet him as the great bird flew in front of the bluff.
"Is that the really the great mediator?" asked Candice.
"It is, Robert said "But Kain got to him first."
*Robert, Candice, Joslynn take Lugia! I think if I can get the ocarina from Kain I can break his hold on Lugia! * Kimberly said.
*Oh, it won't be that easy my dear, * Kain said. His eyes flashed black, and dozens of murkrow landed around the circle of stones. Tentacruel rose up from the seaside of the bluff, and victreebel came from the jungle side. All of their eyes where black like Lugia's. *Your friends will be quite busy protecting the humans from my minions. *
A rock flew at Kain from the ground. He looked at it and it exploded before it could reach him how ever. He looked down and looked at where the rock came from and found that Isaac was the one who threw it.
"I may not know everything that's going on, but from what I see don't like. And I'm going to do something about it." He said bravely. Kain looked at him, frowned, than launched a huge psychic attack. Before it could hit him a blast of fire, water and dragon energy deflected back into the air. Eva, Undine and Nina growled at him. Robert, Candice and Joslynn jumped into the air and changed. The three birds rose above the impending battle. Kain started to laugh as the storm broke.
Kain created a transparent bubble around himself, than dashed toward Kimberly who put up her own bubble just as he hit, knocking them both away from the battle. Robert strafed the victreebel with his Hyper Flame attack, fire rolling out from his beak.

This attack took out all but a few of the giant flycatchers, and left the many of remainder brunt. While he did that, Candice did the same with her Lighting Storm attack on the tentacruel, rising high and raining devastation.

This luckily, took out all of them. The Joslynn fired her attack Cold Sleep attack at the murkrow, wings spread wide, but missed a lot of them do to the fact that they moved and were spread over a larger area.
{Attack: Cold Sleep Type Ice At: 150 Ar: 90% User fires multiple crystals of cold energy. Contact with one puts target into instant cro-status. Can not kill target by itself. 80% chance of freezing target 20% chance to putting target to sleep.}
Those it hit were taken care of by Nina's flamethrower attack. The remaining 30 murkrow and the 15 victreebell split up to take on each of Isaac's pokemon. The Legendary birds turned from that battle to face their own.
{Candice's POV} Now was my time to shine. I was airborne and the storm was with me. Thunder crashed and rains fell as me and Robert circled Lugia. He turned toward Joslynn, who was coming up from her attack run and fired an Areoblast, which sent her flying toward Lighting Island. The big guy followed to finish her off, but I dissuaded him with a quick thunderbolt. He then fired a swift attack, which knocked me for a loop.
*Bazai, * Robert yelled, flying directly into the ocean. (The crazy fool.) I though watching the steam rise up from where he went down. Lugia fired off gust after gust, trying to hit me. I use agility to dodge. As rain ran off my wings I rose to the clouds, lighting arced into my body as I rode the power of the heavens. The power reached its peak as I touched the boiling black sea. The thought (I love living with the knowledge of forever.) ran thorough my head as I dive at the rising ocean guardian reveling in the fact of being me. Through a glowing haze of amber yellow I see his soulless eyes, and I release the power of the storm, my name, and my ultimate attack.
*The lighting empress reigns forever fool, AMBER THUNDER CROWN! *
{Attack: Amber Thunder Crown Type: Electric At: 1120 Ar: 100% The ultimate electric attack. The entire electric potential of an entire planet is focused in a massive bolt of plasma that will cover radius of a mile. Smaller bolts rain down around the initial first strike for a radius up to five miles. All electric type attacks cannot be used in the effected area for 24 hours. 100% of paralysis if the target is still alive…}
{Eva's POV}
I stood, surrounded by enemies on all sides. I did a quick glance around, then noticed the fact that the others were busy with there own problems, so I was on my on. Blue light lit the sky up as I used Double Team to buy me some time. A few of the murkrow swooped in to try to peck me, but pulled up short when I split. Each of my images ran in a different direction. The other pokemon followed leaving four murkrow and a victreebel with the real me. The four murkrow flew down to try to peck my eyes out. I ran underneath them before they landed. I jumped over the victreebel who used an acid attack. In mid air I turned and started to charge my dragon buster. Blue fire gathered in a sphere in front of my horn, then fired at the victreebel's back. It smashed into him, causing him to faint. But it left me open to a combined nightshade attack. The minute the attack hit, I hear the world's largest thunder crack.
{Joslynn's POV}
(Candice is a fool.) I thought, from flying from my perch on the beach of Lighting Island. She has used up all of power on a single strike, and she missed. Then again, Lugia had teleported outside of the effective area. As the fireworks ran down, I noticed Candice slowly floating down grinning over the large whirlpool in the ocean. She didn't even notice the fact that Lugia had reappeared behind her. He fired a huge Areoblast, which cut through the storm skies and blasted Candice over the ocean back toward the main island. She smashed into the ground right on the path above the boat. As he was recovering from the last attack, a huge whirlwind of magma blasted out from the ocean hitting the big bird out of the air and into the stormy sea. Out of the magma flew Robert, looking no worse for wear.
*Hey Rob, let's catch him in-between two of our attacks, * I yell over the wind and rain.
*Sure, but all of this rain is weakening my powers, * He replied.
*Use Sunny Day, * I say. As he nodded a huge waterspout rose out of the ocean. We had to fly in separate directions to avoid the Hydro Pump. The water dissipated to reveal Lugia, and we both powered up to used a Fire Spin and a White Out attack.
{Attack White Out Type: Ice At: 25 Ar: 70% A spinning whirlwind of ice and snow surrounds the target, trapping them for multiple turns.}
{Undine's POV}
I ran back down the path the murkrow flying after me, firing Nightshade after Nightshade. The world turned blue, and I deiced to use Acid Armor. As was jumping to avoid a bolt of ghost energy, I turned into water. Landing as a puddle on the already soaked ground, the dark birds lost me. I climbed a tree and low and behold, all ten of the birds had landed in a group were they had last saw me. I leap over them, reforming and firing a Blizzard at them. They were all taken out with one attack.
However, as a huge crack of thunder happened and the blue light was replaced with a white one, a vine came out from back up the path. It smacked me on the back and in to the ground. The follow up combined Razor Leaf wasn't much fun either.
{End POV}
As soon as the enemy pokemon split-up, Nina fired her Flamethrower, taking out four out of the five victreebel. Isaac dove to Melody cover her as about five of the ten murkrow flew at her. The other five birds vanished. Then smacked into Nina from five different angles a few times. They reappeared above her flying in a circle cackling and taunting her.
*You can't hit us fox! * they screeched. She glanced at Isaac, who was having a hard time keeping the dark birds off him and Melody. Nina also noticed one of Eva's doubles running toward Isaac with six murkrow pursuing her. The five birds circling her dove in and she quickly used dig to avoid their assault. They screeched and clawed at the ground where she was, but could not reach her. It was a mistake for them to get that close to the ground.
Nina exploded from the earth behind them as the heavens roared. Fire and steam rose from her as she arced into the air, a being of fire. "Sacred Flame!" she yelled torching the birds with holy fire she gracefully landed on all fours, the rain seemingly not bothering her. The five birds where now lying on the ground, a great deal blacker than before. She executed a neat and graceful turn on one paw and fried the victreebel that was trying to sneak up on her.
Isaac on the other hand, was getting his fare share of scratches and pecks. The birds that were bothering him flew up into the air, intending to finish him with a nightshade. Just as they fired, One of Eva's doubles jumped over him leading the six other murkrow to take the blast. This caused them to attack there own. While they were busy fighting amongst themselves, Isaac noticed the last four victreebel were firing razor leafs at Eva's second double. His eye started to glow an eerie red, and all four of the giant plants suddenly lifted into the air. The young trainer physically threw them into the murkrow. Nina used her Scared Flame again, igniting the whole pile on the ruined altar.
"Was it any light in a storm or was it any port in a storm?" Nina dryly commented as the rain put the fainted pokemon out. "Anyhow this rain is driving me crazy. Let's get the heck out of here."
"Good idea, lets get the others first," Isaac said picking up Melody who was still out cold. Nina did the same for Slowking, by putting him on her back.
"This guy is heavy," she complained. A blast of energy made them look in the direction were Eva was.
{Eva's POV}
The dark energy surrounded me then passed over me. I blinked and then I realized I only took minimal damage. (Either those five birds are at a very low level, our I am allot stronger than I realize.) They fire the attack again, but this time I fired my Dragon Buster to counter it. The two attacks connect, and pushed against each other. The ghost energy and the dragon energy seemed equal, and then suddenly my power surged. The huge ball of ethereal light engulfed the spectral beam and the birds that fired it, then exploded in huge blast of energy. (Wow.) I thought.
{End POV}
(There was no way I'm going down like this) Undine thought, as the giant plants loomed closer. *She's finished, * said one to another. They started to laugh. And she did too. They looked at each other and then at the battered vaporeon in front of them. *And just what, is so funny little one? * one of them asked.
*You guys. Just because there five of you, your all grass types and the fact that you got in a few cheap shots makes you think your going to win, * she said. *But, your wrong, * she said her voice dropping to a whisper. Her eyes turned a brilliant blue as the rain seemed to be pulled toward her. An aqua blue aura surrounded her as all of fins stuck straight out. The five Victreebel looked on in shock as Undine smiled and said, *The rain makes water types more powerful. Aqua Crash! *
{Attack: Aqua Crash Type: water At: 195 Ar: 100% A huge amount of water is gathered in a ball above the user. It is shot forward in a super high-pressure blast. Anything in the way is flattened. }
She reared back on her back two paws and all the power formed in formed a ball above her. She then fell down on all fours and the blast fired. Isaac, Nina, Eva, and their burdens ran down the path, back to the boats. They stopped when they noticed a large furrow in the trees next to the path. A bruised but triumphant Undine was standing by the path looking down the gap in the trees. She looked back and noticed them.
*What took ya? * she asked. The others looked at her, then kept down the path. *Hey wait for me! * she yelled and followed after them. The group ran up to the shore and noticed the huge dent in the ground and that the boat was gone!
"It can't get any worse," Nina said then the whole Island shook.
Magma met water as Robert's Flare Circle hit Lugia's hydro pump. The whirlwind of lava, flashing out of the island cooled instantly when it hit the cold seawater. The two birds flew out of their respective attacks. Lugia dodged Joslynn's Avalanche, a huge amount of snow coming from the ice birds wings. Lugia dove toward Robert who was flying low over the ocean in an attempt to knock him in. But the firebird dodged at the last moment, rising high in the air. He spread his wings and cried, *Sunny Day. * The rain stopped and the clouds cleared. The bright light momentarily blinded Lugia. Joslynn took the opening to try and end the fight, *Freeze Point * She fired a huge blue white beam which hit the legendary bird, blasting back into the above the bluff and freezing him and the surrounding area.
{Attack: Freeze Point Type: Ice At: 195 Ar: 100% A huge blue-white beam of cold is shot out. Spreads on impact freezing every thing in the surrounding area. 50% chance of freezing the target.
Attack: Flare Circle Type: fire At: 295 Ar: 70% A huge whirlwind of magma rises from the ground and surrounds the user. It is either fired off at the target, or is pulled by the user into the target. 75% chance of causing a burn 25% chance of causing a faint.
Attack: Avalanche Type: ice At: 200 Ar: 100% A huge amount of snow is sent into the target in a attempt to crush them. 25% chance of causing the target to flinch. }
The two birds flew above the carnage for a moment. Then a thought hit them. Isaac and the other's! They both flew over the beach, but it was cover with wreckage from Kain's boat. The shrine just had fainted pokemon, and so did the surrounding jungle. Suddenly, out in the ocean, a mini-sub rose out of the water. It was fiery red, and had a cream colored top and periscope. The hatch popped open and Candice in human form and a bandaged Isaac rose up. They waved at the two birds.
*I forgot that ship had a sub mode, * Robert said to Joslynn. The two quickly landed and changed back to human form.
"You guys did it!" Candice exclaimed. "I wish I could have helped, but he dodged my UA and I ran out of electricity." (I couldn't even light a light bulb now.) she thought.
"You tried your best. But who knew he had learned a new attack. Besides the extra heat from your attack helped me reach the ocean bottom," Robert said.
"Let's find your other friend," Isaac stated. The other two nodded and climbed down the hatch with Isaac. On the bluff the ice holding Lugia shattered in a burst of psychic energy. Joslynn, who was just about to close the hatch, look on in awe. The massive bird prepared to attack again when a melody played. This was the same song that they had heard before Kain played the more twisted version. Lugia calmed before the song stopped, his eyes returning back to normal. As the great bird looked around at the devastation, Joslynn felt a receding presence. (Kimberly!) she thought.
{Kimberly's POV}
When I woke up, I notice I couldn't see out of my right eye. In front of me was Isaac who was bending down. "Your awake! We had to give you some Max Revive and allot of bandages. What happened?" He asked.
*Well, I can show you but first, can you tell me what happened to Lugia? Is he better? * I asked.
"Let's go see," he answered cryptically he picked me up and carried out side of the room we were in. Apparently we were in his boat, because we walked up the hall and in to the main room.
*How is it that this place is so big? * I ask.
"Simple, V2 and I used the same system as the pokeball storage and retrieval. Using the modified version, we were able to place a large amount of rooms in this small boat. We only use the more common ones. It's actually on the market now. Is called stored space. The only problem is that if the central hub is destroyed, the peripherals are lost till it is restored." Isaac answered as he carried me outside. As he did I noticed he had a few bandages himself.
*What happened to you? * I asked.
"He fought off a couple on Murkrow by himself," said Nina. "And all to help that girl."
"Well, I couldn't just let her get pecked to death," he mumbled a bit embarrassed. I looked around, a bit slowly due to the fact I was sore, and noticed that we were on the beach of Lighting Island. I also noticed that Lugia was floating on the water looking at the rest of Isaac's pokemon and the other legendary trio in human form. By looking at the sun, found that I wasn't out very long.
When Isaac, Nina and I reached the other's I spoke, *Hi, guys! *
"Spill what happened Kimberly," Joslynn said.
*Is this everyone? * I ask. V2 nods then explains that they had dropped Melody and the slowking back in town. I nodded.
{End POV}
A huge crash resounded with the storm. Kimberly shook her head and rose up from the hole in the ground. Rain landed on her psychic shield, but she was dry. The shield took the impact of Kain ramming into her. But it had dazed her long enough so she had lost him. She looked around the jungle clearing that she landed in, the tree shadows dancing in the moving wind. (This storm is getting worse. I better find Kain soon.) she thought.
Laughter cut through the air, and the startled mew looked up to see who it was. Kain floated in his own bubble, still a mew and still holding the ocarina *Nice to see that your not completely out of practice. * he taunted. Kimberly launched another third eye attack in response. He kept laughing for it deflected again, but Kimberly had planned on this and immediately stuck out her right front paw. A small circle of psychic fire was all the indication of her using the Pyrokinesis attack.
{Attack: Pyrokinesis Type: Psychic At: 290 Ar: 100% A psychic pulse is sent into the target, causing them to burst into flames. Because no heat is produced in the air before target it is a psychic attack. The only sign of this attack is a small circle of psychic fire that appears some where in front of the user. 100% chance of a burn}
Kain bust in to flames inside of his bubble. The shield vanished as he fell to the ground with a dull thump. Kimberly quickly flew to get the instrument, but from the bushes a huge shadow rose. She pulled short and let out a quick mew of fear.
*Did you forget I could transform? * asked the huge tyranitar. *Did you! * he screamed as he rushed forward and threw a massive mega punch. Kimberly's psychic shield blocked it, but it knocked her back through a tree shield causing it to vanish.
*I didn't forget. I just didn't remember it, * she mumbled as she hovered over the ground. Kain stomped toward her, crushing everything in his way. He started to use Thrash in attempt to crush the smaller pokemon. But the more agile mew dodged each swing.
*Burn! * He screamed launching a huge Fire Blast. Kimberly waited till it was about to hit her, then used Confusion to deflect back at him. Of course he just plowed through it, tagging her with a HeadButt. Being so much larger, he sent her flying back. He followed it was an Earthquake. Kimberly saw the attack coming luckily and used her Levitation to fly above it. The powerful attack opened cracks in the ground beneath her, causing several trees to almost fall on her. She teleported high in the air and started to gather psychic power for a Psy-bomb attack.
{Attack: Levitation Type: Psychic At: 0 Ar: 100% The user flies in the air for this fun attack. This attacks effect can be spread to multiple targets. Evade rises by two levels. Ground type attacks going to the user are made useless, but the user cannot use them. Electric attacks become more effective.
Attack: Psy-bomb Type: Psychic At: 165 Ar: 60% The user fires a sphere of psychic energy at the target. Can explode on impact or after knocking the target back into an object. }
The sphere of psychic energy Kimberly created was huge. Easily 10 times her size, the huge pulsing, pinkish-purple ball flashed with psychic lighting in front of her. Kain looked at it and smiled.
*Surely you jest. You know I can block an attack such as that, * the dark rock lizard said.
*True, if I fired it at you directly. But even a dark type can only take so much energy, * the psychic said with a knowing smile. With a flash of light, she and the bomb appeared right in front of him at point blank range. Before he could get is guard up Kimberly fired the bomb. It hit him right in the face, denoting on impact. The blast knocked her head over heels. She hit the ground on her rump and bounced once, then stopped. She levitated up again and listened, her triangle shaped ears twitching.
*I got him! * She yelled in excitement waiting for the smoke to clear. A huge rock claw shot out of the mist from the attack, shinning wetly in the rain. It grabbed her whole upper torso pinning her arms to her sides. Kain walked out of the mist, perfectly fine, holding a struggling Kimberly Vision. He started to squeeze her using Strength. Kimberly would have screamed if her ribs weren't crushing her lungs. He tossed her up in the air and used Crunch catching her in his jaws. With a twist of his neck he threw her headfirst in to a tree. She bounced off and landed on the ground with a sickening thump.
The small mew tired to stand up. Blood ran down her face, and she couldn't see out of her right eye. Coughing up some more blood, she looked around, the world swimming in and out of focus. A huge green foot kicking her back threw the tree she just hit was the only sign that Kain had begun another Thrash attack. Each blow this time connected knocking the dazed mew around like a rag doll. The next thing Kimberly knew, she was staring up at the crying sky. It was blotted out by huge shape rising in the air above her.
*Now its over, * Kain said lifting his foot into the air to land on Kimberly with an earthquake attack. She barely managed to put up a Psychic Shield to stop it.
{Attack: Psychic Shield Type: Psychic At: 0 Ar: 100% A bubble is formed around the user. It blocks all physical damage and cuts all special damage in half. }
Kain's foot pushed Kimberly's bubble into the ground. As he laughed insanely the shield slowly weakened. Just when Kim stated to run out of energy the rain stopped. He stepped back in confusion looking at the sky. *What's this? Something must have happened to Lugia, * He mused. He reverted back into his human form and pulled the ocarina, which was still in his hand, up to his mouth to play it.
Just as Kain was about to give Lugia a power boost, Kimberly teleported it and her away from him. She appeared in a near-by-orange tree. The only problem was both her arms were broken and she could barely breathe making playing the instrument next to impossible physically. And she use the last of her power just teleproting here so she couldn't do it psychically either. Again, when Kimberly was about to run out of hope, chance intervened. A message from GS came to her.
She flew up the air, using her mind to lift her and the delicate instrument. Concentrating, she played a haunting Melody, filling the area for miles. As she was finished a cry of rage filled the air. She looked down to see Kain, a tyranitar again, firing a Hyper Beam at her. Just before it hit, she sent out a telepathic cry for help.
Everyone on the beach looked around after the vision faded. Kimberly immediately used Rest after showing everyone that, so she was now asleep in Isaac's arms.
"That was some battle," Robert said standing up from where he was sitting.
"That last hyper beam is what destroyed the ocarina. It would also explain why I found her in a crater," Joslynn said.
"So it looks like Kain's won," Candice said.
*But if you do that won't you die? * Eva asked concerned.
"And-what-is-this-about-a-key? I-have-no-data-on-anything-like-that?" V2 asked too.
"There are five pokemon given the five of the six keys to the "Sign of Babel" a huge tower like collection device. In the past, we had kept them all but one together, using them only in the temporally in the exorcism. But if all six of them and all of the focus where ever bought to the main crystal tower in the middle of GS, the it would allow all of the power of our world to be used for one purpose. Supposedly, the being at the intersection would gain absolute power and become perfect. Of course, this would kill everything on this planet. When we beat Kain 10,000 years ago, we deiced to separate all of the keys because he almost succeeded with them all together. To each pokemon species we gave a key to, we left only one of them out here. The rest were sent to GS." Robert said.
*But why? Wasn't that unfair? * Undine asked.
"No, there was no choice. The keys, unlike the focuses, granted hereditary immortally. Any children born to those who hold the key would became stronger than their parents did. Also the keys can only be taken from one kind of pokemon by the same kind. So to prevent theft, and the chance of keeping balance, we did it." Joslynn said.
"Plus anytime one got tired of holding a key, they came to GS and gave it to someone else. The only one who we gave a key to stay all these years was Lugia here," said Candice.
"So who are you going to give it to?" asked Robert.
"Me?" Isaac said looking up from petting a sleeping Kimberly.
"It would be a great help, we can't use a key and we can't ask another pokemon. We can't move that many as this time." Robert pleaded "For humans it's different. Humans all are Rainbow types with an inborn preference for a certain element. Only humans of the same secondary element can steal the key from you and use it, and the immortally part is not hereditary so we don't have to move every human but you.
"I guess. If it will help," Isaac responded. "What do I do?"
"Hold everything, you want Isaac to become a target for the forces of evil, take part in an ancient prophecy, fight against impossible odds, gain new powers, and possibly become a legend?" Nina asked. The four birds nodded. "Why can't I do this again?" she asked.
"Do you want to be the last ninetailes on the surface of this planet? The target for every trainer who wants to own a legend? " Candice asked.
"When you put it like that," she grumbled as Isaac gently placed the sleeping Kimberly on the ground then stood up.
"Let's do this," he said. Lugia nodded then started to sing his strange song. As the listened, they all had an urge to look to the sky. They looked up to see light part the still cloudy sky. It shone down to illuminate Isaac who started to walk toward Lugia. A second light came down to shine on Lugia, who was siting on the shore. When the two lights met, there was a flash of light. To Isaac at that moment he felt like he was flying in a world of endless sky. When he opened his eye, which up to that moment he didn't even know was closed, a badge in the shape of a cloud was floating in front of him where Lugia once was. In the exact center of it was a small symbol that looked like this: a the Greek letter alpha.
Isaac grabbed the Sky key from the air. "I didn't know it would look like a gym badge," He said pinning it inside of his jacket. The minute he did, white light shone from him causing him to cry out in surprise. He noticed that he now holding a rapier, the long slim blade was made of shimmering white light. The hilt was made of a semi-transparent blue crystal with the Greek letter alpha engraved in the pommel.
"The kid's a light type," Candice said looking at the awe struck Isaac. Robert and Joslynn changed into their pokemon forms.
*Isaac, some things to know. One, your only immortal as long as you have the key on your person. Two, you can now use you light powers at any time, but you must draw your sword first. When you do you will automatically know how to do basic moves. The more you use it, like pokemon, the more you learn. Three, it can be put away be mimicking putting it in a scabbard at you waist and can be redrawn the same way. When you put it away, it will vanish like it doesn't exist. Four, don't ever give the key to anyone willingly, and don't show it to anyone unless you have to. Mostly because its made of one large diamond. If you want to fight Kain directly, enter the prime cup on Stadium Island. If not, one of us will find you if we need the key. * Robert said.
"I'll be there," Isaac said putting his new sword away. Candice picked up the sleeping Kimberly and got on Robert's back. "By the way, what happen to Lugia?" he asked.
"He went immediately to GS with the others of his kind," Candice said as they lifted off. "We'll see you soon!" yelled waving good bye to the four still on the beach. "Look to see Lugia in the sea and sky once more!" she yelled as they flew away. Isaac and his pokemon boarded the boat, to train for the fight of their lives.
Elsewhere the dark figure known as Kain appears in dark room. The only illumination was a single spotlight. He, in human form, walked up to a worn stone tablet. It was sitting on a velvet cushion on a pedestal in the center of the spotlight. He read,"

"The Alpha has been renewed. I just love when a plan comes together," he said to himself. "Now for the others." He then vanished back into the darkness.
