Chapter 16
Route 1- 15:40
AUTHOR'S NOTE: In case anyone feels like asking why Jameson and Giovanni recognise
Gary, remember back in the first few chapters that both Jameson and Giovanni
(Hideyoshi, in his disguise at the time) competed at the pokémon league.
Nowadays you couldn't have been in the league if you haven't heard of Ash or
Gary, the two favorites in the league that year and the two top trainers in
Pallet. Also, in some parts I have gotten carried away with the language and
the sick humor even more than in other places. Enjoy!
Misty watched the hole with the ladder beside her, pistol smoking in her hands.
Gary was talking to the girls on his cheering squad beside the truck, while
Misty stayed in a sitting position leaned on the rock, gun holstered. Gary came
back from the truck to where Misty was and asked, "hey, Misty! Maybe you should
let out your pokémon." Misty shrugged. "Okay, Gary. Come on out, everyone!"
A Golduck, a Wigglytuff, a Togepi, a Farfetch'd, a Starmie and a Seadra all
came out of Misty's pokŽballs. "Attack everyone who comes from that hole unless
I say so. Got that?" All of Misty's pokémon nodded in response. "Hey,
I hear something," one of the people on Gary's cheering squad told Misty and
Gary. She was right. At that moment, someone was walking up the ladder. Misty
stood up and aimed her gun at the hole. Within a few seconds, a man with a Magmar
emerged. Misty aimed her weapon at the man, who wore a white rocket suit with
trousers. The man put his hands up once he left, as his Magmar had done in unison.
Misty tightened the grip on her gun when she realised who it was. "Mick," Misty
hissed. "How do you know him?" Gary asked, cocking an eyebrow. This is a sufficent
distraction, Mick realised, now it's my time to shine. Mick somersaulted away
from Misty, followed instantly by his Magmar. Misty fired her pistol, but the
bullets missed Mick. Mick brought out a sort of uzi (according to Misty, who
previously had only seen guns on television) and aimed it at Misty's face. All
of Misty's pokémon reacted to this instantly. Wigglytuff, Togepi and
Farfetch'd went for Mick's back, and the water-types went for Magmar. Starmie,
Golduck and Seadra spat out a fast-flowing water gun at Magmar but, instantaeneously,
Magmar jumped into the air, evading the blast. "Magmar, return!" With a brief
red flash, Magmar went back into Mick's pokéball. Mick turned around
to confront Misty's other pokŽmon who were coming at him from behind and he
aimed to shoot-when Misty was about to fire her pistol. Mick heard the sound
of a gun being handled, ducked, and brought out a pokéball, throwing
it in the direction of Misty. The pokéball opened.
Golem, Jameson, Venomoth and Giovanni were locked in a small room of some kind
littered with pokéballs lined one on top of the other around the edges
of the room when they came in from the teleport. Jameson scratched his chin.
Golem, Jameson, Venomoth and Giovanni were locked in a small room of some kind
littered with pokéballs lined one on top of the other around the edges
of the room when they came in from the teleport. Jameson scratched his chin.
"Weezing, this is Jameson, the one who gave you your fire blast... Come out
now and do nothing else," Jameson commanded, after he thought of what to say.
In response, Jameson's Weezing came out. Jameson thought what to say next, then
stated, "whoever else belongs to me, come out now and do nothing else." The
room became crammed with pokŽmon as 3 more came out, including one huge pokémon
that Giovanni noticed was a Gyarados. Everyone was now suffocating. "Venomoth,
teleport..." Nobody could see who said that, but they were content to get out
of the crammed room, and, surely enough, they left to a hallway that was less
crowded with all of their pokémon.
"Golem, return!" "Gyarados, Weezing, Victreebell and Raticate, return!" For
a brief moment, Giovanni and Jameson's pokéballs flashed as their pokŽmon
came back-except for Venomoth, who was invaluable. "Venomoth, teleport us out
to beside the entrance." "Venomoth," Venomoth replied, teleporting Giovanni
and Jameson to where Misty was.
Giovanni didn't expect to see what he had seen in the entrance to the base.
What he expected to see when he came with Jameson was Misty, gun smoking. Instead,
Misty was lying down out cold but alive on the top of the rock, with a limp
from the butt of a hand-weapon on her forehead and blood trickling down from
it. Another kid, who Jameson recognised as Gary, was lying down, sleeping peacefully.
Gary's cheering squad was also sleeping, some sleeping on top of each other.
A truck was parked on the road beside them all. "Holy shit," Jameson exclaimed,
"holy fucking shit." Nobody else was there, not even Misty's pokŽmon. "Here,"
Jameson offered to Giovanni holding up one of his pokéballs, "my Gyarados
can be a sufficent alarm clock with its water gun for Gary, his cheering squad,
and the sleeping pokŽmon. However, I request that you move Misty away first.
If we get that blood on her to spread on the water, she'll die for sure." Giovanni
nodded. "Good point," Giovanni answered, "I'll get Misty away." The uncouncious
heap that once was a perfectly okay Misty was dragged slowly away by Giovanni,
pulled over to an area on the ground just behind Jameson. Jameson threw the
pokéball that he was holding and, as he had said, his Gyarados came out,
huge body in an odd sort of leaning stand about a metre away from Jameson. Jameson
cracked his knuckles in front of him. "Gyarados, use your hydro pump on a mild
yet widespread burst in the direction of Gary and the girls with him!" Gyarados
opened its ferocious jaws and out of the gaping mouth came a low-pressure burst
of water. "Gyarados, return!" The huge Gyarados disappeared into the small pokŽball.
Jameson heard the sounds of groaning. Gary leaned on an elbow, waking up groggily.
Giovanni grabbed Gary by the collar of his shirt once he had shown a sign of
conciousness. "Two questions, Gary: one, what happened to Misty, and two, WHAT
ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Gary was nearly gagged on his collar, being lifted up
from the ground by the heavier and generally stronger Giovanni. If he was Ash,
he would pass out. But he was Gary. "Am I supposed to know you from anywhere?"
Gary asked. "Answer the fucking question: what happened, and why are you here?!"
Gary cocked his head to the side, as well as his eyebrow. "Ooo... Aren't we
getting touchy today? Soft spot for Misty, perhaps? Thinking of being as perverse
as a Marty Sam character?" Giovanni lowered his voice. "Well, nar nar ne fucking
nar nar to you, then. If you don't answer questions, we may have to come to
conclusions. And the conclusion for now is: you've attacked Misty, she's out
like a light and you decided foolishly to take a nap with the motherfucking
shitheads on your cheering team." Giovanni pointed at the girls, and they all
pointed at themselves, looking quizzical. Gary decided that now was enough.
He brought out his hands and held onto Giovanni's fists, clenched onto his collar.
"Giovanni, what happened was this-Mick came, sent out a pokŽmon, and I wake
up here, with you shouting in my face." Giovanni dropped Gary, sending him coughing
to the ground, where he sat up and rubbed his neck. Giovanni turned to where
Jameson was, leaning by Misty, who was clearly alive. Giovanni looked down towards
his shoes, clenching his fist in front of him. "Yes," Giovanni muttered, calmed
down and suddenly back to normal, "that is exactly what Mick would do." After
Giovanni looked back up, what he seen was Jameson, keeping 2 gloved fingers
on Misty's neck for a pulse. "Bring her to a hospital using your Venomoth's
teleport," Jameson insisted, "it's my only idea." Giovanni nodded. "That sounds
plausible. Try it, Venomoth." Venomoth flew toward where Misty lain, already
glowing blue. By the time Venomoth touched Misty, they were both gone.
Venomoth came back seconds later without Misty. "Venomoth, return." Giovanni
lifted up a pokŽball in Venomoth's direction and Venomoth dispersed into the
pokŽball in a stream of red energy. Jameson was looking at the truck as Gary
brought his cheering squad into the back of the truck. "Are you sure you want
to do this? You were doubting Gary just earlier," Jameson asked, looking at
Gary with apparent suspicion. Giovanni replied, with his arms crossed, "I'm
sure. I know now that Gary's not lying-what he said about Mick-and how he said
it." "H-m. Okay." Gary entered the truck and turned on the ignition. The truck
of his sped off, leaving Giovanni and Jameson alone. Giovanni mused out loud,
"I guess we can explain to each other what happened now..." Having left the
base entrance to the base to avoid outgoing rockets, Jameson had heard enough
about what Giovanni was saying when he finished saying what happened to him.
Turin died, Jameson thought, clenching a fist. I never liked having someone
die before, but this... Giovanni left, leaving Jameson alone to ponder whether
he was 'good' or 'bad'. Meanwhile, Jameson also was pondering another thing:
everyone's safe now after this, right?
Pallet town- 17:00
Ash opened the door of his house to find, on his doorstep, a large package from
Misty. "Wow," stated Ash. "I wonder what it is." Ash picked up the package to
find that it was very heavy, and it quickly slipped out of his fingers and onto
his foot. "Ow! Owowowowowow! Mom!" Ash ran into his house, and slammed short
the door behind him. The door hit the package. The door hitting the package
was enough friction to ignite the dynamite, so the bomb exploded. The explosion
blew apart the doorstep and the front of Ash's house withstood the blast, surprisingly
enough. However, this didn't stop the door which flew off its hinges and hit
Ash straight in the back of the head. Ash fell down with a big pressure on his
head and blanked out, battered and blood slowly dripping from his mouth. Cassidy
seen it all, but from an angle. All she noted was the bomb exploding, the door
flying back and a loud 'thump'. Cassidy would have cheered if she wasn't in
the bushes beside Ash's house. Quickly, she sent out a Kadabra and teleported
out, presuming Ash dead.
But he wasn't dead yet.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: yeah, I hurt Ash. This was solely to fake his death, useful for
later on.
Epilogue
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Epilogue goes as far as the beginning of the sequel.
Misty woke up with all of her pokémon stolen, presumably by Mick. Mick
was not found, yet he is thought to be with his fellow rockets. Because of this,
her pokŽmon match with Gary has been dismissed. Misty is now constantly searching
for her pokŽmon as the league draws closer.
Ash Ketchum recovered from his injuries quickly surprisingly, even with a double
concussion and internal bleeding in his upper throat. He is now training for
the next pokémon league competition at the Indigo plateau. He is told
that there will be a return of 6 pokémon per round from the 6th round
onwards and that the competition will be far greater, with the arrival of Lorelei,
Agatha and Lance (Bruno was not available for that year's league tournament).
Gary is currently renting a hotel room somewhere in Cerulean city.
Team Rocket later closed down their base, fearing being found out by the police
with the intruders escaping. Police have now detected suspicious activity bearing
right below the Indigo plateau, but they are, for a strange reason, dismissing
it. The Indigo plateau's Officer Jenny quit the forces, apparently in some sort
of great stress. Since then there have been 2 attempted asassinations directed
at her.
Giovanni has since gone missing for a long time. He is presumed dead by the
police and is thought to have been killed by Team Rocket.
NOTE: Pokémon Future has been cancelled. I just noticed that I get consistent
writers' block when I wrote this and ESPECIALLY when I tried to write either
the prequel or the sequel, and I couldn't get an editor for way too long, so
that is why I have stopped development. If you want to continue it, and preferably
do a better job than I did, try writing either the prequel or the sequel. If
you want to write the prequel, which should explain all unanswered questions,
and/or the sequel, which should continue from where this left off, go ahead
and write it, you have my permission, as long as you say that it was originally
written by me. Look out for "The Master Of Pokémon" or "TMoP", which
should be a lot better.
