Chapter 7: A Duel between Friends

Once they got to the ‘Crystal Inn’, they all went up to the service counter. “We would like 3 rooms, preferably next to each other???” Ash asked.

“Let’s see here….” the manager said. “You’re in luck! We just so happen to have 3 rooms available that r right next to each other.”

“How much?” Ash asked.

“$1500 a night, 500 each.” he replied.

“That’s a good deal!” Ash replied happily. *I’m using the Pokemon World currency, just so you know*

“Ok, here you go,” he gave them their room keys. “How many nights will y'all be staying?”

“Oh, 3 days.” Ash answered.

“Ok, that’ll be $4500 + any money u charge such as renting a movie, renting a game, etc.” he replied.

“Kay, here’s $4500. I’ll pay the rest when we check out.” Ash said as he paid the manager, whom he noticed was a Mr. Saitto Gonzaloe.

“Your rooms r on the top floor, rooms 447; 449; and 451.” Mr. Gonzaloe replied.

“Ok, let’s check out our rooms! Last 1 there’s a Slowking!!” Ash said, getting a head start.

“No fair!!!!” the others called after him as they started after him. Of course he beat them to the rooms.

Once they went inside, they were all like “WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” the rooms all had 42” plasma TVs. They each had surround sound stereos. They each had a Gamecube, PS2, and Xbox with a wide variety of games for each consol. They each had 2 king-sized beds. As well as 1 of those fold-up beds that went up in the wall when not being used. And a bed that folded out from the 4-person couch. It also had 2 recliners. And these were the normal rooms. Imagine what the luxury suits look like!

‘Now this is the life!’ Ash thought.

“Now, on to the duel!!!” Gary announced. He had read somewhere that duels r sometimes held on some abandoned Pokemon Battle arenas behind the hotel.

“Ok, Gary! You’re on!!” Ash replied. Ash & Gary made their way to the abandoned Pokemon Battle arenas, the girls tagging along. Brock wasn’t going. He wasn’t much of a Yu-Gi-Oh fan.

“Ok Gary, how many LP?!” Ash asked.

“8000 LP.” Gary replied. Ash and Gary got out their Duel Disks. Unlike in the real world, the Duel Disks in the Pokemon World had hologram projectors, so you could see the moves physically played out.

“Ash, over here!” Misty called over to Ash. Ash went over to where Misty was. Gary did the same with Aurora.

“I think these’ll come in handy during the duel!” Misty told him, handing him 4 cards. They were ‘Alpha the Magnet Warrior’, ‘Beta the Magnet Warrior’, ‘Gamma the Magnet Warrior’, and ‘Valkerion the Magna Warrior’.

“Oh wow, thanks Misty!” Ash said, shaking her hand wildly.

“No problema, Ash.” Misty replied sweetly.

“I think these cards’ll come in handy during yer duel with Ash!!!” Aurora said as she handed Gary 3 cards. The cards were ‘Dark Magician’, ‘Time Wizard’, and ‘Dark Sage’.

“Sweet cards, Aurora!!!” Gary thanked.

“Thanks, Gary!” Aurora replied.

Ash and Gary stepped onto the arena. “You ready to lose, Ashy-boy?!” Gary threatened.

“Why don’t you go suck a dick, Gary!?!” Ash laughed.

“Aurgh!!! Yer goin’ down, Ash!!!” Gary growled.

“Hey, look every1!! A duel is about to start!!!” a group of kids called out. Soon enough, a large crowd had gathered around the arena. ‘Every1 must love Duel Monsters around here.’ Ash thought. Gary was thinking the same thing. Soon enough, the LP meter on each Duel Disk flashed on w/ an ‘8000’ in it.

Ash: 8000 Gary: 8000

Ash: I’ll go 1^st. I’ll set 1 card face down and end my turn.

Gary: My turn already? Ok. I summon ‘Battle Ox’!

Ash: I activate ‘Trap Hole’ to destroy it.

Gary: Aurgh! End my turn.

Ash: I summon ‘Dark Elf’! Dark Elf’, attack his LP directly!!!

Ash: 7000 Gary: 6000

Gary: I set this monster (La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp) and end my turn.

Ash: ‘Dark Elf’, attack his face-down monster.

Gary: I set another monster (Thousand-Eyes Idol) and end my turn.

Ash: I sacrifice ‘Dark Elf’ to summon ‘Jinzo’!!! Jinzo attack his face-down monster!

Gary: I set 1 card (7 Tools of the Bandit) face down. Then I set this monster (Giant Soldier of Stone). End my turn.

Ash: I summon ‘Kojikocy’. Attack his face-down monster, ‘Kojikocy’! Darn it! ‘Jinzo’ attack!!!

Ash: 6500 Gary: 6000

Gary: I summon ‘Two-Headed King Rex’! Attack ‘Kojikocy’!

Ash: 6400 Gary: 6000

Ash: I activate ‘Polymerization’ to fuse my 3 ‘Blue-Eyes White Dragons’ to form ‘Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon’!!! ‘Jinzo’, attack his ‘Two-Headed King Rex’!!! Now my ‘Ultimate Dragon’, attack his LP directly!!!!! Hahahahah!!!!!

Ash: 6400 Gary: 700

Gary: Dammit, Ash!! I thought I told u no Fusion Monsters!!! Oh well. I would’ve lost neway. I set 1 card face-down (Raigeki) and end my turn.

Ash: I sacrifice my ‘Bleu-Eyes Ultimate’ to summon ‘Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon’!!!! Its ATK is now 4200 ‘cause of its effect!!! Attack directly ‘Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon’!!! Your LP have reached 0!!!

Well, I know wat y’all r thinkin’ right now. IT SUCKS!!! But I just couldn’t couldn’t resist! The next chapter should be better. But for now, c y’all!!!
