Here’s Part VII of “Only the Pure Hearts Survive.” I haven’t updated on this one in a while, because I was focusing on “The Life of a Pirate.” I don’t have much else to say, but I don’t own Pokemon. Enjoy the story! Part VII “[Guys! Look what I found!]” Pikachu said with exclamation. Everybody rushed over to Pikachu, eager to see what it was yelling about. When they came over to Pikachu, it was holding up a piece of paper, folded into a square shape. “What is it Pikachu? What is that?” Ash said with curiousness. “[It’s some sort of note. It has our names on it!]” Ash quickly grabbed the note and unfolded it to read it. Ha! I have gotten my revenge! How do you feel?! Yeah, that’s right! I have your precious friends! You want them back? Well, you’ll have to do one little measly task. GIVE ME YOUR POKEMON! And, if you don’t, I’ll send Mewtwo to destroy you all and you’ll never see your friends again. The letter wasn’t signed or anything, but Ash could tell who it was from. “Giovanni!” Ash whispered softly but with angry vehement. Misty came over and enclosed him in her arms to comfort him, knowing what was going on. “Don’t worry Ash… I’m sure that they’re alright… He wouldn’t really harm them.” But inside Misty knew that anything was possible, and she couldn’t determine the future of things to happen. “Giovanni has gone too far this time! He will pay, oh he will pay!” Ash didn’t cry this time. Not one tear was forming in his eye. But, in his eyes everybody could see a whole new person. They could see confidence, worry, and anger all at the same time. Ash turned towards everybody with a very serious face. “Guys…we need to come together more than we ever have come now. Giovanni has caused too much chaos… I’m surprised we haven’t heard from Mewtwo in a while.” Then Locknile came to a realization. “You’re right Ash. We haven’t even heard one sign from it.” “[What do you think it could be up to?]” Pikachu said with a little worry. “Well, where ever it is, it can’t be up to any good. That thing…” Ash paused for a minute, shivered, but continued on. “It causes trouble all the time… It can’t be up to anything but torture and chaos…” “But, we have to take into compliance what the Grunt and Cloaked man said. “[What do you mean?]” Asked Pikachu. “Well, they said that they became a team but the relationship was breaking apart, little by little. So, for all we know, Mewtwo could be anywhere, causing any type of destruction to any town.” “And, we don’t know any of Mewtwo’s motives or plans. How are we ever going to defeat it if we don’t know where it is?” Misty asked. “…Well, I don’t know.” Ash said, “All I know is that we have to find someway to defeat it. It’s one powerful creature and could blow this planet up with one blast… We have to make sure it doesn’t realize that.” Ash then looked seriously at everybody. “Everybody on earth…their lives are in our hands.” The power of that statement struck our heroes hardly. There was a pause. Our heroes were thinking about this situation. They knew the seriousness of this and knew one wrong move could cause the destruction of this beautiful planet and all its humans and Pokemon. A little more time passed before Ash said, “Guys…I think we better go…” They left the Apartment and went back to the Pokemon Center in complete silence. The only sound that was going on was the sound of people in the background and our heroes breathing. When our heroes entered the lobby of the Pokemon Center, it seemed kind of gloomy. There was a lot more activity in the lobby, more rushing around and more talking. Our heroes were stopped short in their path when a seriously injured Oddish, on a medical cart (forgot what they’re called), came rushing by. Our heroes could only look at it in despair… Then, they continued walking in their paths to their rooms. When they arrived at the cross-intersection of their rooms, they faced each other in silence, unsure of what to say. But after a few moments, Locknile spoke up, but with a sullen tone. “We should rest a while… We need plenty of energy when we depart here…” “…Yeah…how long do you think?” Said Misty with the same tone. “...About a day or so… We can depart probably the day after tomorrow.” But then, Ash began to get a little more serious. “Guys…we do need to stay here a little while, because we need to gather information about Giovanni’s whereabouts. It’s silly just to play Meowth and Pikachu, *1 trying to track him down. It’s just like going in circles, when you're lost in a forest.” “Ash,” Locknile said, “You are very right. It is silly that we were doing that.” “And plus we are a little more safe from Giovanni’s grasp, here in town.” Said Misty. The whole group now was a little more exuberant from the idea. It made them feel a little more safe and secure. It made them feel more confident that they were going to succeed in their plan and take down Giovanni! “[With this plan we are going to find and defeat Giovanni in no time!]” Said Pikachu. Just then something struck Ash. He didn’t say it out loud, due to the complexity of it. It was the major epiphany that he had earlier… When Pikachu said “defeat,” Ash didn’t know if it really was right to think of their quest at that intensity. Ash didn’t share it with his friends, knowing that there would be objection. He decided to shake the idea off until later, but deep down inside of him the idea still lingered, so it never really went away. When everybody was finished talking, they all exchanged goodnights and went into their rooms. They were ready for a good nights sleep, but Ash still had that one little complexity stuck in him. He couldn't shake it off. He knew the seriousness of it is intense, so he didn’t want any quarreling about the group. He had to talk to somebody. But, if he did, there would be this big quarrel, and he didn’t want that, especially after the separation between Misty and him twelve years ago. *…but, I have to talk to someone…* he thought. * Maybe Misty will understand…I really hope she does…* That’s the end of Part VII of “Only the Pure Hearts Survive.” Please Review!
