The Epic Journey = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Part One: The Beginning = = = = = = = = = = = = = = It was a beautiful sunny morning, birds were chirping, the sun was shining and there were many different animals around lakes happily frolicking in the water; and inside some house a person rested on his bed, snoring. "Zzz…Slowpoke…ZzZ…Ice Beam…" "You get up this instant or you'll be late!" shrieked a voice from the kitchen. "All right mom," the boy who just arose from his bed yelled back. "Misty, do you have to holler so loud? My ears still haven't stopped ringing since the last time you did that… And, that was about a month ago!" said the man reading the newspaper at the polished mahogany table. "Well Ash, if I don't then brock will never get up," Misty replied. Just then, a boy at the age of ten with black hair that spiked up at the back that would never rest down, and green eyes somewhat hidden by his hair who he still hadn't combed. "Good Morning, Brock," chirped the couple at the table. "Mornin'" grunted Brock who was now seated at the table, which now seemed very crowded. Now that they are all here, let's introduce the Ketchums. Ash has grown up and has settled in with his family in Johto, after he retired from being the champion at Kanto. Misty, his wife and Brock's mother used to travel around with Ash though they seemed to hate each other. Brock, now typing on his laptop computer is their only son, whose life has been uneventful until now. "There," Brock said, "I just downloaded information about every gym leader in Johto" He said that just as he finished typing on his laptop and stowed it away. "Kids these days," said Ash smiling at his son who was going away on his adventure to be the ultimate Pokemon Master, just like his dad. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Part Two: The Pokemon = = = = = = = = = = = = = = After getting his "good luck"s and "we'll see you later" from his parents he hurried off to Prof. Elm's Lab. "Geez, I'm coming back after I get my pokemon," he muttered under his breath. He knew that his parents loved him very much and tried to keep him happy. He stopped panting at two huge polished Oak doors, a huge banner on top reading "NEW TRAINERS WELCOME" He quickly, without thinking bolted through the doors, like a sky attack from a pidgeotto. "Proffessoramilate, what'smypokemon, what'lliget?" "Slow down Brock, since you're the first one here, and astonishingly the person who scored highest on his test, you get the first pick!" The proffessor beamed at him. "YES," he thought, "I knew letting dad teach me about all types of pokemon was a good idea!" "Well, what do you think you'll get? A Cyndaquil, A Totodile, or A Chikorita?" "Hmm… I think I'll take the… CYNDAQUIL!!!" "Good choice Brock, you know Cyndaquils are very popular" "Yup" "Ok, now let's not forget your Pokegear, your Pokedex, the beginner grab pack, and your license!… Oh, and here are some pokeballs!" Brock couldn't wait to see his new pokemon, so he turned his cap backwards and threw his ball at the ground, in 'Ketchum' style. "Cyndaquil!" "Hi, Cyndaquil, I'm your new trainer!" "Cynda?" "No, I'm not mean, I would love to be your friend!" "Cyndaquil!" The little fireball leapt into his arms and let out its flame! From that moment on, he knew that he was going to love pokemon training. = = = = = = = = = = = = = Part Three: The Journey = = = = = = = = = = = = = "A cyndaquil! Good choice Brock!" beamed Ash, " You know I had a cyndaquil once just like yours…" "YES!!! We heard that story a million times, then it grew to a typhlosion that's in our back yard! I was there you know!" Screamed Misty as she wallopped Ash on his head. After a quick recovery from the blow, Ash said, "I have a surprise for you, wait here." And he came back holding a yellow spotted egg! "You know my Pikachu, the one helping Prof. Oak in Kanto right? Well it just bred with a female Pikachu and sent us this egg many weeks ago! It's starting to shake so in a couple of days you should have a Pichu!" "WOW! Thanks Dad! I always wanted an electric Pokemon at the beginning just like you!" A few hours later, Brock had his bag packed, with the egg in his arms and Cyndaquil trotting by his side; he decided that if the Pokemon disliked pokeballs then he'll keep them out. Now he walked on the road to Cherrygrove city, waving good-bye and his Cyndaquil crying out happily. He was ready for a new adventure.
