The Pokemon Project
Part 4
I
return to the NLS NorthStar, and the lab computer showed me a digital picture
of what the secondary genetic code builds.
“This
is Mewtwo, how would this be possible?” I thought aloud.
“Just
to inform you, there is a chemical that they used. This chemical is designed to
cling to the first genetic code it meets and kill any of the other code. That
is how you could loose all of your human genetic code.” Dat3 Stated.
“Thank
you Dat3. I’m heading back to the deck,” I replied.
“Anytime,
sir,” Dat3 responds.
Let
me tell you, being 17 is no picnic. Your parents treat you like a baby, but you
want to go out into the “adult” world. It is very tough.
My
mother still has a hard time believing that I’m a cop. We go through the same
battle every day. I always end up winning when I bring out my badge. I love
that darn thing.
“How
many times do I have to tell you that you are not a cop,” my mom would scream.
“I
am too a cop, and I work for the DK Network. See, here’s my badge.” I’d reply.
Sometimes
I’d have to wonder about my mom. Every time I tell her that I have to go fight
some sort of crime. She would tell me that I’m not going anywhere. I can’t lose
the case, so I just walk out the door.
This
year has been very different. She no longer fights me about crime, or me going
to work. Little did I know that this year was also going to be the most
interesting year in my life.
I
never found that much interesting in DK or the NorthStar. The ship has taken
too many cruises, gone out to space, helped in the launch of our other ships,
and has performed ferry runs. I was growing tired of it.
Did
you know that we had several ships in outerspace, just exploring? We do.
We
have ships like the Voyager and Carpathia. We even have the Naz3, a space
station. We even have more space stations. I was so tired of it that it was
depressing.
The
strangest thing that oocured that year was that we received several snowstorms.
I was sick with the stomach flu for one week in March, and one of the days,
that Wednesday, it snowed all day. That Wednesday was the first day of spring.
Now that was strange. I knew that if it was true, it was going to happen soon.
There
was about one or two weeks before I went to the Internship at Microsoft. It was
summer, and there was no more school. It happened. They finally came.
I
decided to go to the dugout. When I open the door, I see theese two men in
black suits.
“Can
I help you?” I ask them.
“Yes,
you can. Let us in please.”
“Who
are you?” my mom asked.
“We
have a great deal to explain to you,” he said.
“What?”
“If
you would be so kind to let us in, we’ll tell you everything you need to know.”
My
mother lets them in. They sit in our livingroom, it’s medium-sized, and it has
everything a normal family would have. They sit on the couch.
“To
start things off, I’m agent Jack Higgens. This is agent Jimmy Saldar. We are
from the CIA.”
“You’re
here…because?” My mom asks.
“That
is a simple matter. We’re here for your son.”
“On
what grounds?”
“Well,
J-Mac has been one of our expiriments for a few years, now, and we are at a
vital point. We need him to come with us.”
“And
if he doesn’t?”
“The
possibility of death may occur. We need to finish the expiriment, and soon.”
I
tried to sneak up to my room.
“J-Mac
Paul Carthage, get back down here,” Jack hollerd.
“Do
you know something about this?” My mother questioned.
“I
might, I’m not sure. This all sounds crazy. Do you believe them?” I responded.
“Yes.”
“Anyway,”
Jack continued. “We wish to inform you that your son will be the Pokemon
Mewtwo. Jimmy, bring them out.”
They
brought out a Mew and a Mewtwo from Pokeballs. Mewtwo just stood there
silently.
“It’s
about time,” Mew said, “Hey, son I finally get to really meet you.”
“I
guess I’m willing to cooperate with you,” my mom stated.
“I
guess that I could, too,” I added, reluctuntly. “Bye Mom”
“I’ll
see you as soon as it’s over,” Mom said. “Is that true, Jake”
“Yes
it is, as soon as it’s over, he’ll be brought back home. I hope you’re ready to
have him return as a non-human.”
“I’m
as ready as I’ll ever be.”
We
leave. I told Pat and Dax that they had the ship until I returned. We get in
this big, black limo and drive away. We arrive at a private airfield, we got
into a helichopter and flew off. We landed in a private airfield in Olympia,
WA. We rode in, yet another black limo, and drove off to the CIA lab in
Olympia. I had no idea they had a lab that close. At that point, they put me to
sleep.
