Hi! Meteor here. I just thought I'd let you know that I own Pokemon. In another life. The only things I own in this story are a few characters, and the names of a few small towns. NOTHING ELSE!

Prologue

Rayden didn't know how he got the job. Smuggling weapons, fuel, drugs, for the "Great Joseph Tryad" and his ever-growing secret army of terrorists, know as the Black Moon. And what did he get for it? The satisfaction of watching buildings explode, and hearing the screams of innocent lives as they were shot, burned, or crushed under the treads his tanks. But then again, he had to provide for his family.

Rayden Keil shook his head to rid himself of these thoughts. The twenty-three year old sat outside a chemical facility in northern Johto with 250 soldiers from the Black Moon army. His mission this time was to collect a substance called Trylithiem. Why Joseph needed this he did not know, but what he did know is that if he failed, his pay would not only be decreased, but it would not come for another month. That meant no food for his family. It was for that reason, Rayden had never failed a mission.

He waved his hand at his troops to begin moving forward; they did so, for they had great respect for him, even though he was not a high-ranking commander compared to the other soldiers. But that was not a factor for moral, he knew it and they knew it. The facility was one of the most secure buildings in Johto, and Rayden had to get in, get the chemical, get out, and blow the building. Rayden smiled, it was all in a day's work.

They began to advance faster now, and Rayden drew his 9mm pistol. Just seconds before Rayden gave the order to attack, a shout came out from the facility, and bullets came whizzing by and struck several of Rayden's men. Blood began to pour out of their wounds onto the ground, staining it red. Rayden threw himself on the ground and cursed, they had lost the element of surprise, getting in had just become a whole lot more difficult. He looked back and saw that most of his men had taken cover, some were returning fire. Rayden had one last option. He reached inside his long, black leather jacket and pulled out a round shiny sphere. A pokeball. Rayden threw it, and there was a flash of white light, a pokemon stood before him. "Alakazam!" it said.

"Alakazam, use Mirror Coat! Shouted Rayden.

The pokemon began to glow a dark red as another volley of shots was fired from the building. Just seconds before the bullets hit, Alakazam raised his hand, and the bullets exploded in tiny flashes of light. Rayden smiled, and raised his 9mm.

"Forward!!" He yelled.

His men jumped out from their hiding places and rushed forward with exhilarating shouts and screams. Although many shots were still fired from the facility, only a few found their mark. Rayden's men were driven by something that the bullets couldn't take down. When they were just yards from the facility, Rayden gave the order.

"FIRE!!!!"

Bullets flew from the rifles and pistols of Rayden's army, and he had the pleasure of seeing faces of the enemy soldiers disappear in puffs of red. Several of the troops on the walls of the building were struck down. Rayden saw three bodies fall from the building, and land with a sickening thud.

He withdrew Alakazam into his pokeball and tucked it back into his jacket. He took one last look at his men and established one thing, they were winning. Rayden smiled, it was just what they had been trained to do. Win.

Rayden ran toward the building with great speed, he had been the star runner in his high school track team, and he had come to realize that the three-hour exercise hadn't been for nothing. He took another glance at the men on the walls, it was luck, he decided that caused his eyes to fall on one certain soldier that had just pulled a pen on a grenade. Rayden ran. Fast. He was running with his teeth clenched, waiting for an explosion. It came, and Rayden was hurled toward the building and slammed against it. He lay still for ten minuets, wondering if he was dead. But finally, Rayden sat up, and looked at what he had slammed into. He smiled when he saw what it was. The compound door. He also saw that the door had been opened partially, probably from his smash. Rayden staggered through the door, and was pleased to find that he was in the chemical room.

He took out a chemical container and dipped it in a pool of Trylithiem, filling the container about two thirds full. He then snapped the container shut and tucked it in his jacket.

Rayden knew only two things about Trylithiem. That it was vital to their cause, and highly flammable. He took the C4 he had been saving for this occasion and stuck it to the tank of Trylithiem. "Five minuets seemed like long enough", he thought.
The timer was set. He reached in to his jacket and pulled out a handheld two-way radio. He squeezed the button and spoke into it.

"Anderson!"

A voice came over the radio; Rayden could hear bullets in the background.

"Yes sir?"

"Tell the men to retreat back to base camp, I've got the chemical, you've got five minuets!"

"Yes sir!"

Rayden tucked the radio back into his jacket and looked at the timer 4:34. Rayden turned towards the door and saw a soldier standing in front of him, his pistol was drawn.

"Drop your weapon!" he said

Rayden did so, his 9mm dropped to the floor with a thud. But before the soldier could say anything more, Rayden swung his fist across the soldier's face, who staggered back and fell. Rayden picked up his 9mm, and kicked away the soldier's pistol. He pointed his pistol at the man's head, Rayden could see not fear, but courage in his eyes. Rayden cocked the 9mm and pointed the gun at the soldier's chest. But Rayden knew that would put the man in tremendous pain before he died, so Rayden pointed the pistol at his head again. Two words escaped the man's mouth.

"Do it."

Rayden fired the gun. The man fell on his back, and didn't move again. Blood trickled from the wound in the man's head and began to cover the ground around him. Rayden noticed a heart shaped locket around his neck he pulled this and his dogtags off. He read the dogtags first, they read:

TOM KETCHEM
AGE 32
BORN JAN 16, 1979

He then opened the locket; it had a picture of him and a young boy with black hair. He took the picture out and turned it over, and there were words that read: ME AND ASH AT HIS 6TH BIRTHDAY PARTY.

All that Rayden knew was that one boy would not see his father ever again.

His mind snapped back to reality, he looked at the C4, 32 seconds. He put the bloodstained locket and dog tags in his jacket and ran out the door. When he was about 100 yards from the building he looked back just in time to see it explode in brilliant colors. Burning debris littered the field. Rayden knew that their mission was complete. They could go home. However, something disturbed him about what had just happened. He shook his head and walked back to the camp.

What do you think? I will allow you to flame me if you really think it was that bad!!!
