CHAPTER 006

Brock: Hold on, if we go to the police, Suzie and the others will be arrested.

Lance: No, I can pull some string, and plus this is just the beginning of our

fight against Team Rocket.

Everyone nodded apart from Ash who looked up to the sky.

Ash: Father I will never hurt you and I will not let anyone hurt you. I

will return to you. I’m sorry.

Misty: Man he’s cute even though he’s moody, but I know something is wrong With him. Hmm.

Ash looks over and sees Misty looking at him, and then he sees her blush, and turn away. He smiles and looks back to Lance.

Lance: Right. Well, let’s get moving. We have a long way to go.

They all nod and follow as Lance leads them to Viridian City.

** Lunch **

Everyone is sitting down eating sandwiches that Brock and Suzie made. Ash

is sitting with Pikachu on his knee.

Pikachu: Pikapi Pika pika pichu (Pikapi, are you all right?)

Ash: Yeah, I’m fine. Why do you ask?

Pikachu: *I can’t be bothered with the Pika’s sorry* (Because you seem really quiet, and your starting to scare me a little.)

Ash: Sorry I’m fine, really. Just a little confused.

Misty: Ash.

Ash jumps a little and sees Misty looking at him.

Ash: Yeah?

Misty: Can we talk?

Ash: About what?

Misty sits down next to him.

Misty: Listen, I think you’re really moody, and I wanna know why. So spit it out.

Ash: (Angry) It’s none of you business why I’m moody, and leave me alone. All right?

Then he stands and walks off with Pikachu. Misty gets very pissed off, and follows him. She finds him sitting on a tree stump with Pikachu in front of him.

Pikachu: (Pikapi, why do you keep getting so mad at Misty?)

Ash: I don’t know she’s just getting to me and I don’t know how to act. I

feel so strange when I’m around her. Man, I feel like I’m going nuts!

Pikachu: (I think you’re already nuts. Hehehehehehehe, but really Ash just try and be nice to her. Even a little, you never know, you might get a friend.)

Ash: (Rolls eyes) Fine, I’ll try. All right.

Pikachu: (That’s a good boy. I’m going back.)

Then he runs off to Lance and the others. Misty comes out goes over to Ash.

Misty: Ash?

Ash turns and sees Misty.

Ash: May as well try. Hey Misty… Listen I’m sorry about getting angry at you, I really am. Maybe we should start again, as friends.

He offers his hand to her for her to shake it. Misty is shocked but smiles and shakes his hand.

Misty: OK, Ash.

Ash: (Smile) All right.

Misty: Oh my god!

Ash: What?

Misty: Nothing it’s just the first time I’ve really seen you smile, hehehehehehehe.

Ash: Very funny, Mist.

Misty: Uh… What did you just call me?

Ash: Oh, Mist. Is it a problem? Because if it is then I won’t use it.

Misty: No... No you can call me that if you want to. I was just a little shocked that all (Evil smile), Ashy

Ash looks at her and glares at her.

Then Misty starts laughing. Ash turns away and starts to walk back to the others. Misty stop laughing and follows him she puts a hand on his shoulder.

Ash turns to her and gives her a warm smile.

Misty: OH MY GOD! That smile is so god damn cute!

Ash gives her a sideways glance as her expression turns weird.

Then they get to the others and everyone looks at them.

Lance: Well, now that you two are finally back, lets get going!

Misty: (Blushes/angry) NO we were not!

Ash blushes, and Misty get angrier with ever word that Sabrina says.

Misty: (Angry) LISTEN HE IS NOT! AND WILL NEVER BE KISSING ME! ALL RIGHT? WE ARE JUST FRIENDS!!!!!

Sabrina: Geez, Misty I was only joking, I know…. (Walks past Ash and smacks him on his butt) (Whispers) You free you’ll be mine! (Smiles evil)

Ash looks shocked that Sabrina would do something like but just shrugs his shoulders. Sabrina then smiles and walks away. Misty looks at Ash, she is really pissed now.

Misty: (Angry) I’m going to kill her.

Ash: Oh, come on, Mist. She’s only joking. Plus what does it concern you

if she into me anyway?

Then he walks ahead to talk to Brock, Suzie, and Tracey.

Misty: It concerns me because you’re, mine no-one else’s…………… Man that

sound so wrong, but I don’t care………………… He is so cute!!!!!

She walks over to Ash and the others.

Brock: So Ash what was Sabrina talking to you about?

Suzie: Yeah we saw her smack your butt. (Giggles)

Ash: It’s no funny (Smiles) But I think she was messing around, trying

to annoy Misty.

Tracey: Why would she smack your butt to annoy Misty?

Brock: You’re clueless, Tracey…. Misty is, well, into Ash.

Ash: Oh, come on Brock she’s just my friend. Don’t you start this.

Suzie: You really think she’s only sees you as a friend?

Ash: Yes I do………… Come on guys why would Mist ever like me?

Brock: What did you just call her?

Ash: Mist… so?

Brock: Oh man, don’t let her hear you say that, she’ll kill you!

Ash: But she already knows. I called her that all ready and she’s okay with it. Lance: Ash, will you come here please?

He walks over to Lance. Brock just looks at him and smiles.

Brock: You know what guys? Misty most defiantly likes Ash.

Suzie: Why do you say that?

Tracey: Yeah. What makes you think that she likes him?

Brock: Easy. I’ve known Misty for a long time. Then only people she lets call her Mist are people she loves, only special people to her . I mean she doesn’t even let me call her that and I’ve know her since she was 3 years old.

Suzie: Wow, I bet she does like him. (Smiles) Man this is so great they’re perfect for each other!

Tracey: (Angry) Well I don’t think so.

Then he walks away from them and goes to talk to Misty.

Suzie: Oh no.

Brock: Oh man. Don’t tell me he likes Misty too.

Suzie: This is going to get sticky.

Brock: You’re telling me!

Tracey gets over to Misty and smiles.

Tracey: Hey, Mist.

Misty glares at him.

Misty: Don’t you dare call me that! I don’t let anyone call me that!

Tracey: I’m sorry, Misty.

Misty: It’s all right. Not many people are a loud to call me that.

Tracey: Oh I see. So Ash must be special to you then.

Misty: (Confused) Tracey. What are you talking about?

Tracey: I mean you let him call you Mist don’t you?

Misty : …. Hur… oh yeah… He’s a special friend to me that’s all. (Smiles)

Tracey: More special then Brock. I mean you don’t even let him call you

that, do you?

Misty: (looks down) Brock’s special to me in a different way. He’s like my big brother and I don’t have to explain anything to you, so why don’t you just go away, and leave me alone.

Tracey backs off a little.

Tracey: I’m sorry, Misty. I was only asking…

Then he walks back to the others. Pikachu, who was listening to what they were saying, jumps on Misty’s shoulder.

Misty: (Smiles) Hey Pikachu. What are you up to?

Pikachu: (Nothing much, I’m board so I was walking around listening to People, you know.)

Misty: (Smiles) I wish I could understand you, but I can’t I’m sorry.

Pikachu smiles and then he jumps down and goes to Ash. He jumps on Ash’s shoulder. Ash is walking a little head of everyone thinking.

Ash: Hey Pika-pal. Where have you been?

Pikachu: (I’ve been walking around and listening to people and you know trying to see what people think about you.)

Ash: Oh really? And what do they think about me?

Pikachu: (They like you… well apart from you mood swings) (Giggles)

Ash shakes his head.

Pikachu: (Oh I all most forgot. Someone else like’s you. A girl and she is getting moves pulled on her by someone else.)

Ash: What are talking about Pikachu? I do not have a girl.

Pikachu: (I mean Misty. Tracey likes her and was pulling the moves on Her.)

Ash is a little shocked but shakes it off.

Ash: Oh really… well what’s it got to do with me? Misty is a friend and Tracey is a friend. I wish them the best of luck if they do get together.

Pikachu looks at him and smiles at him.

Pikachu: (Why do you do this Pikapi?)

Ash: Why I do what?

Pikachu: (Pretend that you don’t care when you do.)

Ash: I’m no pretending, I don’t care.

Pikachu: (PIKAPI! Stop lying to me!)

Ash: I’m NOT lying I don’t care! It’s up to them what they do, all right?

Pikachu :(FINE YOU HAVE IT THAT WAY BUT I KNOW YOU DO CARE PIKAPI!)

Pikachu hops off his shoulder and runs off to Suzie. Ash looks at the floor. Then he feels a hand on his shoulder. He turns and sees Misty looking at him.

Misty: Are you all right?

Ash: I fine

Pulls away from her

Misty: Ash. What’s wrong? What were you and Pikachu arguing about?

Ash: I’m fine and it’s nothing.

Misty: (Angry) OK. You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.

Ash looks at her.

Ash: (Angry) Good, because there is nothing to tell you.

Misty: (Angry) Fine.

Then she walks over to Brock, Suzie, Tracey, and Pikachu.

**THAT NIGHT**

They are all camped out in a clearing in near a lagoon. Bugsy is talking to Whitney, Morty, and Erika about the Pokemon they have and things like that. They are sat around the camp fire. Lance, Clair, Koga and Sabrina are all talking about what to do next. Brock and Suzie have gone for a walk in the woods. Misty is sitting talking to Lance and everyone else, with Tracey next her, also talking to them. Ash is sat on a rock watching the stars. Gary gets board of talking to everyone and walk up to Ash.

Gary: Hey Ash.

Ash turns and looks at Gary.

Ash: Hello. Gary right?

Gary: Yeah..

He sits next him

Gary: So what you doing?

Ash: Nothing much I’m just thinking. So, you so board with talking to Lance and company that you come over her to bug me, hmm?

Gary: Yeah well everyone else is busy in someway.

Ash: And I’m not busy?

Gary: No I don’t think so.

Ash: (Rolls eyes) Hey Gary. You’re a good Pokemon trainer aren’t you?

Gary looks at him.

Gary: Yeah, well I am a gym leader.

Ash: Oh yeah Flame and Luna got you didn’t they.

Gary: Yeah. With a damn dirty trick.

Ash: Yeah sounds like them… So anyway do you want a Pokemon battle? I mean I haven’t trained in a while and I promise I wont use Ho-oh or any of them just normal Pokemon all right.

Gary: All right you’re on!

Ash: Great!

Gary: We need a referee

Just then Brock and Suzie some out from the woods and Brock sees what Ash and Gary are doing, and goes over to them.

Brock: I’ll help you out.

Ash: Thanks.

Gary: Yeah, thanks Brock.

Brock: All right… so what sort of battle?

Ash: Two team battles.

Gary: What?

Ash: Use 2 teams, 2 Pokemon in each team.

Gary: All right.

Brock: All right. This is going to be a 2 Team Pokemon battle… Begin!

Ash: All right (throws the Multi Poke-ball) Go team 1!

Then a Tyranitar and a Skarmory come out.

Gary: Cool.

Gets two Poke-balls out, kisses them, and throws them. Pidgeot and Gyarados come out. Meanwhile Suzie walks up to the others.

Suzie: Ash and Gary are having a Pokemon battle if anyone wants to watch.

Then everyone runs to the battle area.

Ash: All right. Both of you, Ice Blast!

They nod and Tyranitar uses ice beam. Skarmory whirlwind and it surrounds the ice beam and makes a ice tornado that goes towards Pidgeot and Gyarados.

Gary: Dodge it guys! His Pokemon try the best they can, but Gyarados gets hit and fall to the Ground.

Ash: Gary I don’t wanna hurt your Pokemon. Return them and we will

continue this battle when you’re a little stronger.

Gary gets really angry.

Gary: I’ll show you strong! RETURN! GUYS GO!!

Then he throws two more Poke-balls and Alakazam and Arcanine come out. Ash smiles and then he looks to his Pokemon

Ash: Thinking you can do it guys?

They nod and he smiles.

Ash: ALL RIGHT! YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!!

Gary: Psychic and flame, guys!

The Gary’s Pokemon hit Ash’s Pokemon and knock them to the ground.

Ash: NVA DEFENDO KUMA!!!

Gary: What the……

Then a golden aura surround Ash’s Pokemon and they charge and hit Gary’s Pokemon. Ash’s Pokemon both us Hyper beam and Ash smiles as Gary’s Pokemon are knocked to the floor and his Pokemon are standing Ash then smiles.

Ash: (Shouting evilly) FINISH IT!!!

Misty: (Worried) ASH YOU’VE WON!!! YOU’RE GOING TOO FAR! YOU’RE GOING TO KILL THE POKEMON!!

Ash: (Smiling evilly) LIKE I CARE!

Everyone is shocked. Misty backs off and Ash gets a sharp pain through him and falls to the floor. His Pokemon return on their own. Gary returns his Pokemon and then Misty goes up to Ash. She kneels next him.

Misty: (Worried) Ash... Ash wake up.

Then there is a golden rainbow and Ho-oh comes down from the sky

Misty: H-Ho-oh

Ho-oh nods and goes over to Ash. It nuzzles him and he opens his

eyes.

Ash: W-what happened?

Ho-oh: You went too far again. I could not stand for it, Ashton.

Ash: I didn’t… I’m so sorry.

Ho-oh: Control yourself… you know what can happen if you don’t.

Ash: I am sorry, Ho-oh. I promise I will do my best to control myself.

Ho-oh nods and Ash pets him and then he turns to Gary.

Ash: I’m sorry Gary. Are your Pokemon all right?

Gary smiles

Gary: They’ll be fine after a rest you know.

Ash: I am really sorry.

Ho-oh: Ash, I must go.

Ash: Ho-oh, thank you for helping me and I am sorry.

Pets him and then he fly’s away.

Misty: Do you wanna explain that Ash?

Ash: I’m sorry, I can’t explain for I do not know the reason, really all I know is I see Pokemon getting hurt, I see red, and the next thing I know, I lose control over every thing and then I…. Never mind, I’m sorry forgive me

Gary: It’s all right. You’re fine now, right Ash?

Ash: Yeah, thanks Gary.

Then Ash walks off toward the lake and lets his Pokemon out. He goes over to Tyranitar and Skarmory he pets them.

Ash: Sorry for what I nearly made you do.

Tyranitar and Skarmory nuzzle him and he pets them.

Ash: Thank you.

Then he goes and pets his other Pokemon. They all nuzzle him and he smiles and pets them back.

Misty: Your Pokemon really do love you, don’t they?

Ash turns and smiles.

Ash: Well I love them they love me back you know we have a strong bond

with each other. So what is it you wanted?

Misty: Nothing really, I was just wondering what you where doing you Know.

Ash: I see. You’re very nosy aren’t you?

Misty: (angry) Yeah, well, you’re stupid.

Ash: (Smiling) Good come back Mist.

Misty: (Angry) Hump.

Turns away and he smiles.

Ash: You know I don’t mind if you’re nosy, if fact, I kind of like nosy People.

Misty turns around and looks at him happily.

Ash: All though you could make me change my mind about that.

Misty gets pissed and tries to smack him on the side of the head but he dodges and smiles at her.

Ash: Relax, Mist. I’m joking.

Misty: (Angry) You better be.

Ash smiles and walks over to Articuno and pets her, she nuzzles him.

Ash: Oh you wanna fly? OK.

Then Lugia, Zapdos and Moltres look at him he smiles.

Ash: All right you all wanna come, fine.

He returns the other Pokemon and then he turns to Misty.

Ash: Do you wanna come with me, these guys, and Pikachu?

Pikachu: (Damn you Ash. I thought you wouldn’t have noticed!)

Pikachu says jumping out of the bushes and Ash smiles at him. Ash: You know better then that Pika-pal. Come here. Then he jumps into Ash’s arms and Ash hugs him. Pikachu goes on his Shoulder, and Ash smiles at Misty.

Ash: So you coming or not?

Misty: (Smiles) Sure.

Ash: All right. Hum, I’ll ride on Lugia because he well temperamental.

Lugia: I am no temperamental I’ll show you!

Ash: See what I mean. Anyway you choose out of Artic, Zapy *Maya: Sorry Mist (the beta reader) had to nick you nick name. Ash thought it would be fun. Sorry don’t kill

us hehehehehehehe*, and Flame. Misty smile and goes over to Articuno.

Misty: Hey do you mind me ridding you?

Articuno nuzzles her and she smiles.

Ash: Cool, she likes you! Get on her, and Artic, keep Mist safe, all right?

Articuno nods. Misty smiles and gets on Articuno.

Ash: All right guys follow me and keep in sight

Then his Pokemon nod and then they take off. As they fly, Misty and Artic are right next Ash and Lugia.

Misty: (Shouting) Ash, your Pokemon are really fast!

Ash: (Shouting) I know! This is just the slowest they can go!

Misty: (Shouting) WHAT! Man, I don’t wanna battle one of these guys!

Ash laughs and then he smiles.

Misty: (Shouting) OH! I’ve got an idea!

Ash: (Shouting/joking) OH NO! Whatever could this world be coming to?

Misty glares at him.

Ash: (Shouting) Sorry! What is it Mist?

Misty: (Shouting) Well I was thinking, if you take all of us, the gym leader and me I mean, in turn to Viridian City with your Pokemon then it will take less time to get there.

Ash: (Shouting) That’s not a bad idea we’ll run it by Lance and the Others, and see what they think.

Misty smiles at Ash. Then later after the flight they talk to Lance about the idea.

Lance: Hey that’s a great idea! But are you sure the Pokemon can do it, Ash?

Ash: Lance, I’m sure.

Misty: Yeah. His Pokemon are really strong and fast. Believe me, we’ll get there in no time, and then we can sort out this army you’re thinking of, Lance.

Lance: Right we’ll do it first thing in the morning, but right now sleep is what everyone needs to do, all right.

They nod and go to their sleeping bags and go to sleep

Luna is sitting down, looking out of the window.

Flame: Luna, are you all right?

Luna turns to Flame.

Luna: Yeah, I just can’t believe Raven, Rain, and Ebony betrayed the boss and us… They said we would always be together and nothing would ever brake us apart, but all it took for Raven to leave was some stupid little cow…. She will pay! No-one takes my Raven away from me!

Flame looks at her and smiles.

Flame: So you’re with us then?

Luna: Oh Yeah! They’re all going to pay, and Raven will return to be by my side for ever!

Flame: Don’t you mean the bosses side?

Luna: Yeah, whatever.

The she giggles and walks away.
