The world slowly came back into view. All around her was the starched white walls of a pokecenter. Moon tried to prop herself up on her elbows but her left side refused to bear the weight and she fell back into the bed. A moment later Nurse Joy poked her head into the room to check on her.

"Oh, your awake." She said.

"Where am I? What happened?" Moon asked groggily.

"You are in the Goldenrod Pokecenter. A trainer, who found you bleeding to death in the forest, brought you in yesterday. The bullet missed your heart by only half an inch. You were very lucky!"

"My pokemon, were are they?"

"You had none when you were brought in."

"Adrienne…" Moon hissed.

"Excuse me?"

"Adrienne! She took my pokemon! I have to go back for them!"

"I’m sorry but I can’t do that. You were badly injured, you need rest."

"I don’t have time to rest! Team Rocket has my pokemon! God only knows what they are going to do to them! I have to get them back." Moon insisted. Nurse Joy gave her a stern look.

"Fine. As soon as you can get out of that bed, on your own, you may leave." Inspired on by these words; Moon tried again to rise, only to have her left side fail again. "Well then, till you can rise, you have a visitor."

The nurse turned and exited. A moment later a girl entered. She had long black hair and blue eyes. She wore an orange and black Orange League cap, T-shirt, and shorts.

"Hi, my name is Kolare."

"Moon. Are you the one who saved me?"

"Yes."

"Thank you. But I wish you could have saved my pokemon as well."

"What happened to them?"

"Team Rocket."

"I’ve had some trouble with them too." She said, absentmindedly running her hand over a scare near her temple. "I’ll help you get your pokemon back if you like."

"I would appreciate that. But first I have to get out of this place."

"Is there anything I can do?"

"Guess the first thing I need is to get my pokedex. Then could you get me something to eat?" Kolare complied, handing her the pokedex then leaving to find her some food. When Moon was sure she was alone, she opened the pokedex and called Prof. Oak.

"Hello ‘Moon’." He said as he answered, "How are you doing?"

"Well," Moon said happily, "Team Rocket stole my pokemon and shot me. How are you?"

"Oh my! What do you need?"

"I need some sort of pokemon that I can use."

"How about the one in the Masterball?"

"Phillip has it."

"Give me a few moments and I’ll get it for you." He said. Ten minutes later a minimized masterball appeared on the transport pad.

"Thanks Prof." Moon said with a smile before closing her pokedex. She had just enough time to hide the masterball before Kolare came back with a plate of sandwiches.

It was three hours later when Moon finally lifted herself out of the bed with only her right side. She didn’t take the time to check herself out for fear the Nurse would make her stay anyway. With Kolare’s help Moon made her way back into the forest.

The forest was as dense as ever, but Kolare seemed to know the way well.

"What pokemon do you have?" Moon asked as they walked.

"A Pidgey, Quilava, and a Natu." Kolare replied. Moon couldn’t help feeling qualms as to how much help that this girl would be. "The camp is over this hill." Kolare whispered. They crawled on their stomachs, Moon with a measure of difficulty, to the top of the hill over looking the camp. There were Rockets milling everywhere. Moon guessed there were about 25 rockets in this camp.

"Pidgey, go." Kolare said, "Scan the area and report back." The little bird took off and began searching the camp from above. A few minutes later it returned with news. "He said that he can see were they are keeping the stolen pokemon. It’s over in a small hut on the east side of the camp." They crept away from the camp to talk.

"Look," Kolare started, "I know that I can’t be too much help to you against the Rockets. So I’m going to round up some other trainers in Goldenrod and come back."

"Do you really think anyone will want to help me?"

"Oh sure, these Rockets have been giving trainers around here trouble for a month. In fact there have been two trainers that have died as a result of their injuries. When the other trainers hear your going after your pokemon they will be more then happy to help."

"Have they taken any of your pokemon?" Moon asked.

"Yes, they attacked me and got every thing except my Quilava. Natu and Pidgey are recent catches. But I got to go get the other trainers." She said and headed back north to Goldenrod.

"Bye, and hurry back." Moon said as Kolare disappeared into the trees.

Now that she was alone Moon decided to open the Masterball. She tossed the ball to the ground without a word. What happened next she was not prepared for.

The ball split open with a burst of red energy. The red light rose 12ft into the air, took shape, and solidified. It was a dragon. It had a Charizard-like head and was covered in thick, hard, golden scales. It had a long, thick, well-muscled body. Its fore legs were of medium length with sharp claws, prefect for tearing flesh from bone. It’s hind legs were longer and built to hold the weight of its body when it stood. Large, powerful wings jutted from its shoulders.

Moon fumbled for her pokedex and pointed it at the creature.

"Beep: Radianz: The Shinning pokemon. This pokemon guards the entrance to Mt. Silver. It is very loyal to its trainer. This particular Radianz is very young. Radianz may grow to be 50ft, long on average; females can grow even larger. Beep."

"My name is Moon. I need your help."

"My name is Daystar. Are you my trainer now?"

"Yes, I am. Prof. Oak gave you to me. There is a gang of thieves that stole my other pokemon. Will you help me get them back?"

"I will."

Kolare returned an hour later with a small army of trainers. At first everyone milled around learning each other’s names and were they had come from, but after a few minutes Kolare took charge.

"Ok, everyone quiet down. We need to find out were we stand." Everyone slowly quieted down as they sat to listen. "First, is there any one here with out any pokemon?" the crowd remained silent. "Does any one have a full belt?" again she was answered with silence. "Does anyone have any fully evolved pokemon?" still silence. "Ok, we out number the rockets, but they have more pokemon and more highly evolved pokemon then us. We also can not count on the fact that our stolen pokemon will not be used against us, sense we do not know if they have mind control devices."

"So what do we do?" a blond haired boy asked.

"We do not have the power to take them head on, but I think if we create a distraction so that one or two people can sneak in and retrieve the pokemon."

"Who will go?" a girl with blue hair shouted. There was a whisper that ran through the crowd. It was obvious that everyone wanted his or her pokemon back but no one wanted to take the risk personally.

"I’ll go." Moon said standing up.

"Are you sure Moon?" Kolare asked, "Your still hurt pretty badly."

"I can do it." Moon said confidently.

"Then it is settled. Moon will go after the pokemon while the rest of us will make the distraction. Moon you will need the largest empty bag you can lay your hands on."

************************************************************************************

Moon lay low on the eastern side of the camp waiting for her moment, her masterball in her pocket just in case. The others were to start there attack in a few minutes, she was to wait for the rockets to go confront the attackers then move in and get as many pokemon as she could.

Then just as the first rays of the sun touched the sky, cries of pokemon erupted from the western side of camp. The Rockets rushed from their huts to see what the commotion was about. Many of the rocket members were desperately trying to get their clothes on as they ran. Moon couldn’t help but give a small giggle as Adrienne tripped and fell face first into the dirt as she tried to get her skirt on. Moon also noticed that she was followed from her hut by a male rocket.

It only took a few minutes for the rockets to abandon their hut. Moon quickly and quietly moved to the hut were the pokemon were being kept. She ducked out of site as a straggling rocket hurried past. She entered the hut quickly and shut the door behind her. The walls of the hut were lined with racks and racks of pokeballs. With out hesitation she began to stuff the balls into the bag, minimizing them as she went. She attached her own pokeballs to her belt as her she found them. Closing the bag she swung it over her shoulder, it had only taken her only ten minutes to gather every pokeball in the hut but it felt like an eternity.

Then just as she was turning to go she noticed a small wood table in the far corner of the room. On closer inspection she that a very tattered and worn piece of parchment with ancient black writing on it. The parchment was pinned to the table with a 12in dagger with a heavily jeweled hilt. Next to this was a typed letter. Suddenly Moon took the dagger and stuffed into her belt, and put the parchment and letter in the bag.

Moon rushed from the hut, no even bothering to close the door, and made a mad dash for the cover of the woods. She wasn’t fast enough. The distraction team had already pulled out and the rockets were returning. Moon was surrounded. The rockets released several menacing looking pokemon.

"Well, well, well, look who it is. My old buddy Moon. Making good on that promise I see. Why don’t you hand those pokemon over before I have to hurt you?" Adrienne said as she emerged form the rockets.

"Go to Hell Adrienne!" Moon spat.

"Ooohhh, she sprouted a backbone." Her voice once dropping with sarcasm now changed, "What chance do you honestly think you have? You are out numbered 20 to 1 and all you have is a bag of pokemon that aren’t even yours, so will not listen to you."

"Your wrong Adrienne. I have one pokemon. And I’ll stake that it can beat any pokemon the lot of you have."

"Really!" Adrienne said, the sarcasm returning, "In that case, let’s see it. You can face…Jack’s Dragonair." As she said this a 15-year-old boy with green hair stepped forward releasing the pokemon. Moon retrieved the masterball from her pocket and dropped it wordlessly to the ground. The Rockets reaction was just as she expected a mixture of fear and surprise.

"Radianz Solar Flare." Moon commanded. Radianz opened her mouth and shot a beam of golden energy strait at her opponent. The dragonair never had a chance. It was completely engulfed in the blaze, and when the light cleared it was no were to be seen. In the confession and panic following the attack Moon leapt on the dragon’s back and took to the air. Some of the Rockets gave chase with their own flying types.

"Solar Wind!" Radianz turned in mid-air and quickly dispatched them with the attack; done with a powerful flap her wings that sent a gust littered with shards of golden energy.

Moon meet up with the rest of the trainers at the Goldenrod pokecenter. Many of the trainers where nursing wound on themselves and there pokemon. Nurse Joy and her Chancey certainly had their hands full. When Moon entered all activity in the room ceased. Kolare spoke first.

"Did you…?" she asked. Removing the letter and parchment from the bag, Moon set it on the floor.

"There all here." Moon said. She then had to jump back as trainer came from all directions to retrieve their pokeballs. When the trainers had finished there were still several pokeballs in the bag. Nurse Joy took these and had them sent back to the families of the two trainers that had died.

Before Moon and the other trainer began to celebrate the reunion with there pokemon, Nurse Joy shooed all of the injured trainers, including Moon, into hospital beds to heal.

Moon, despite being confined to a bed, was very happy to have her pokemon back. She knew however she would have to send one back, in the end Hades was replaced by Radianz.

With this out of the way she turned to the letter and parchment. The letter was short and simple.

Those who can discover the location described on this parchment will serve me in my master plan.

There was no signature. Turning to the parchment she found it was a poem.

Past the waters that rage

Guarded by the serpent ones,

Into the Persians mouth

To the curve of it’s tail,

You find the walls of ancient shelter

Protected by a mighty gale,

If this place you do seek

Come bearing six unweak,

For is you fail in this quest

It will mean your certain death.

Moon read it several times to herself, but could not make head or tails of it. In frustration she brought out her pokemon and read it to them. To her surprise it was Shadowulf who provided the answer.

"I know the place of which it speaks." He said, " have you ever heard of the Pokemon Councils?"

"No." Moon replied.

"There are three Councils. The Wings of Council, the Land Council, and the Council of the Fin. Councils of air, land, and water respectively. The island that is described was once the meeting place for both the land and air councils. The land and water surrounding the island were rich with food and meetings could be held for months at a time. Then one day when the councils went to the island to meet, they were unable to get to the island. The place was protected, then and now, by a mighty wind. The councils did all they could to try to get past it, to no avail. Even the biggest strongest Radianz were unable to brake through. Those that were too small were thrown so violently about that every bone in their bodies were crushed. The councils then asked Celebi. The only answer she could give was that one day one would be born that could stop the wind, but she would not say what type, species, or council the champion would emerge from. Since that day the councils have meet at Mt. Silver. And so it has been for 1000 years."

"Humm…So if the worlds strongest pokemon could not get through, what chance would Team Rocket have? And what are they doing on the island?"

"That is a question I am unable to answer." Shadowulf said solemnly, "But I will show you were the island lies if you so desire."

"That I do, Shadowulf, that I do."
