Part 24:

Your misery, my happiness

Note: Hmmm… I just noticed that I hadn’t changed May’s age… LoL. I noticed right now just as I was beginning to type that it was wrong. LoL. Okay to clear up she’s been 21 ½ since chappie 20 kay?

“Britney, Brock It’s so good to see you guys!” Sharon exclaimed as she greeted them, she then added upon seeing the small tanned boy in Brock’s arms, “Hello Richard! Anna’s been dying to see you again!”

“A’rite Misses Anna’s mom.” Richard nodded.

Sharon laughed as she watched the small brunette, brown-eyed tan-skinned child run into her living room straight towards Anna who was playing with Amy. The two friends began to wrestle each other playfully much to Amy’s dismay.

“Auntie! They’re fighting!” Amy yelled.

“Don’t worry! They’ll be all right? They’re just playing okay?” Sharon exclaimed laughing a bit. She turned back to her friends and sighed. “Aren’t they cute together?”

“Yeah…” Brock agreed proudly as they sat down on Sharon’s couch. “My boy’s turning out to be just like his old man.”

“Yeah, doesn’t know how to treat the ladies.” Britney rolled her eyes.

“Hey, then how do you explain where he came from?” Brock protested. “Admit it, you fell for me the moment you laid eyes on this chick magnet!”

“As I distinctly remember it, you fell for me the moment you laid eyes on this goddess!” Britney growled pointing to herself.

“Guys, guys, guys!” Damien exclaimed as he and Sharon sweat dropped. “Calm down.”

“Like yeah, dudes, you’re startin’ to scare me a just a tiny bit there…” Sharon added.

“Sorry…” Britney apologized. “So how’s everything with you two? Any chance of a boy any time soon?”

“I dunno…” Sharon grinned seductively as she snaked her arm around Damien’s waist even lower. “Ask this one if he plans on giving a boy or a girl…”

“Depends… I personally want a boy…” Damien grinned.

“Well, then I say we get to work!” Sharon smiled cheerfully as she pressed a kiss on his neck; but before she could finish her work Damien stopped her, “Not in front of the kids.”

“Aww… You’re no fun…” Sharon pulled away from his disappointedly.

“Thanks Damien…” Britney fanned herself a bit. “I was starting to get in the mood too…”

“Oooh… I should take advantage.” Brock grinned as he kissed her fingertips. “After all I want another happy kid jumping around with his brother…”

“Nice try Brock.” Britney pulled her hand away. “But I’m not falling for that again.”

“Killjoy.” Brock pouted.

They laughed and soon began to think of other things before another couple came knocking on their door.

“Max Mary what are you two doing here?” Damien asked upon letting them in. “I thought you two were out of state, road trip and all!”

“I know.” Mary sighed as she and Max sat down worriedly. “But when I called Dan, he said something that worried me. Said something bout-…” she lowered her voice so the children playing in the corner couldn’t hear them and the adults had to lean in to hear. “-he and Misty breaking up.”

“WHAT?!” Sharon yelled, she turned to the three children who stared at her and asked sweetly. “Kids, go upstairs to the greenhouse, Cleo’ll let you play with the Pokemon.”

“Okay!” they all giggled enthusiastically as they bound out the door.

Sharon turned back o Mary, incredulously. “What do you mean they broke up?! Misty hadn’t told me anything!”

“Apparently it happened last night.” Max explained. “Dan came home, ready to propose to her and he found her crying…”

The four friends tsked as they asked for further details from the young couple.

“Ash told Misty he’d leave May for her and Misty left Dan for Ash. He told me Ash had promised to leave May but this whole past week while we were in Petalsburg, those two were banging each other everywhere!” Mary made a face, while Max gagged. “Doesn’t look to me like Ash’s keeping his promise at all.”

“That filthy no good rotten son of a bitch!” Sharon shouted suddenly she added. “No offence to Mrs. Ketchum but that Ash has gone too far!”

“That’s unlike Ash…” Brock muttered.

“Please, after what he did to Misty, six years ago, anything can be expected from that rat bastard.” Britney growled.

“Even so, when he left Misty-(“Made her leave!” Sharon and Britney cut in fiercely.)-he told me he never thought of getting back at her.” Brock explained.

“So he’s a liar!” Sharon yelled angrily.

“Maybe we should go and see what’s happening?” Damien suggested.

“I don’t think so.” Max shook his head. “We should leave them alone and wait till they come and see us.

“Yeah well I can guess that they won’t come to us first, in fact they’ll probably go with Amy, so let’s go upstairs to the greenhouse!” Sharon exclaimed jumping up from the couch. “C’mon!”

“Mommy, what’s wrong?” Amy asked as Misty carried her outside the greenhouse and towards the swing set. “You look like you’re cryin!”

“Oh it’s nothing sweetheart… I was just reading a really sad story…” Misty wiped her eyes.

“Oh…” Amy nodded thoughtfully. “Can you tell me the stowy mommy?”

“You really want to hear it even though it’s sad?”

“That way I can undwstand you.”

Misty smiled and nodded. “Once upon a time a young prince and a young princess were out in the woods, traveling with a young lord of a neighboring kingdom. Now both the prince and princess loved each other but the princess had to leave back to her own kingdom once her sisters stepped down from the throne. However when she left them she meant another prince from a foreign kingdom and fell in love with him too.”

“Mommy, can you name them? I get confused!”

“The princess’ name was Misty.” Dan added as he walked over to them and kneeled beside their swing. “And the prince she met was named Dan. The other prince had no name because he was so mean. The evil prince tricked Prince Dan and Princess Misty; the young lord named Brock told them about it. Now Princess Misty didn’t know what to do. She loved the evil prince but she knew she couldn’t, he was evil; she loved Prince Dan but she was too afraid to spend her life with him… She had to make a choice but who would she chose?”

“Well that’s easy!” Amy exclaimed happily. “She should choose Prince Dan! He’s not evil and they’re named just like my mommy and daddy who will be together forever!”

She hugged her mother tightly and Misty patted her head, eyes distant as she looked down at Dan curiously.

“What do you think Misty?” Dan asked looking up at her.

“Prince Dan…” Misty whispered looking into his eyes.

“I think so too.” Dan smiled, he took Amy into his arms and added. “Go on and play with Anna and Richard.”

“Okay…” Amy slipped out of her father’s arms and skipped away into the green house.

Dan got up and walked behind her swing. He began to push her light as Misty sat in silence on the swing.

“So Misty, how does the story end?” Dan asked.

“I don’t know…” Misty replied wiping away a tear. “I haven’t gotten there yet…”

“Where are you up to?”

“I’m up to the part where Princess Misty is abut to make her second most important choice in her life… She had found Evil Prince Ash’s trick and is about to chose Prince Dan but she doesn’t know how to tell him…” Misty sighed looking up at the sky with a heavy heart.

“It says, does he ever get the girl…?” Dan sang softly in her ear. “But what is the pages stay pressed, the chapters unfinished, the story’s too dull to unfold? Does he ever get the girl?”

Misty closed her eyes with a small smile, as she heard him sing their song. She didn’t know what to do… Should she leave Dan and Ash…? She let tears fall as he continued his soft singing.

“Dan… Ash tricked me…” Misty muttered

“I know…” Dan nodded and upon seeing her surprise went on to explain, “Brock told me… Max and Mary told Brock, Britney, Sharon and Damien that we were breaking up and they came to stop it.” He pointed to the six friends that were within the greenhouse waiting anxiously. “They want us back together…”

Misty began to cry; she didn’t know why, she just did.

“He lied to me Dan! I can’t believe he’d do that to me! After all these years… I thought I could trust him…” Misty began to sob uncontrollably. “Why did he do this to me…?”

Dan bit his lip and pulled her into his arms. As she cried into his shoulder he felt an anger deep within him begin to boil the blood in his veins. He would never forgive Ash for this… Never…

Note: So I didn’t update last week like I promised hmmm? Well what can I say? I was busy with updating and well *cough* reading magna and reading cute Donuts and KuroFai fics with lot’s of porn! ^.^ <-- I was turned into a wibbling puddle of a fangirl! LOL! I’m so happy with my new obsession! AGH! Please tell me I’m not the only one! Well no, actually I’m not since there are plenty of other people on LJ! WEE! I’n so giddy with excitement!!!
