The Powers of the Crystal by Darkpika

Part 2 = MEET PSYRIA

After what happened at the temple, Mariah and Joey went to the lab to check on the computer what just happened. (Plus Mariah needs to get her Squirtle and Espeon back)

"What the hell happened there?" asks Joey.
"I don't know" said Mariah.

Mariah tried looking on the map stored in the computer to try and find that temple, but according to the computer, there is no temple out there. Professor Elm came inside the lab to see they were on the computer.

"What the hell do you think you're doing on my computer?!" asks Elm.
"We saw this weird temple near the lake," said Mariah.
"Yeah, and when this crystal was out of this rock, the whole thing glow white and these weird Pokémon came out," said Joey.

Professor Elm looked at them like they were crazy.

"Well, anyway Mariah, how was your battles in the Johto League?" asks Elm.
"They were great, by the way. Can I have my Squirtle and Espeon back now?" asks Mariah.
"Sure, but you'll need to give back Gyarados and Aipom." said Elm.
"I know" said Mariah bringing out their Pokéballs.
"Why did you switch your Squirtle and Espeon for Gyarados and Aipom anyway?" asks Joey.
"Well, Squirtle was very sick when it was near for the Johto League battles, so I sent him here and took my Gyarados to that battle. Also I knew that trainer Mike's Jolteon, would be very fast and powerful. So I needed a fast Pokémon with great defense, so I switched Espeon and Aipom. Now I'd like them both back," explained Mariah.
"Your Squirtle is much better now and your Espeon has had a nice time hanging around your Abra, Dratini and Lickitung." said Elm.

He took the two Pokéballs from Mariah's hands and put them on a shelf along with five other Pokéballs. He picked up two of them and handed them to Mariah. He walked over to the backdoor and opened it. Her Squirtle and Espeon were with her Abra, Dratini and Lickitung. When they saw her standing there, Squirtle and Espeon ran to greet her. Abra, Dratini and Lickitung waved to her. Espeon jumped up on her and licked her face. Squirtle hugged her.

"EsEspeon" said Espeon. (WE'RE SO GLAD TO SEE YOU)
"SquirtleSquirt" said Squirtle (ME TOO)
"I'm glad to see you guys too," said Mariah.

Mariah returned both of her Pokémon in their Pokéballs and went back to the computer. Her and Joey were on for hours but found nothing.

Meanwhile...Psyria (See Prologue for description) was swimming as fast as she could away from the temple. She turned her head to see Jawot, the Sharkton following her. A Sharkton is a gray shark Pokémon. (I'm assuming you all know what a shark is) He opened his mouth, showing his large white teeth, he moved forward with his mouth open, ready to grab onto Psyria but she dodged his jaw and continued swimming. She turned to see Jawot was very close to her tail. She looked up at the surface. She swam for the surface, with that Jawot behind her. She opened her wings widely and poked her head out of the water. Jawot was below her, getting ready to come up and grab her so he could eat her. But, Psyria jumps out of the water and swims away. Jawot's head surfaces the water. He watches Psyria fly away. With an angry look on his face, he went back underwater to look for food. Psyria flew high in the clouds, she felt cold. Not cold as in freezing but as in a strange feelings. She looked down to see the lab. The strange sense she felt was down there. She swooped down and landed in the field where Pokémon owned by trainers traveling in Johto were enjoying themselves. She looked through the window to see Mariah and Joey still near the computer, trying to find answers. Professor Elm opened the backdoor, holding a bucket of Pokémon food for the Pokémon. Psyria flew through the door inside without Elm seeing her. She sat behind them on the floor. She closed her eyes and knocked her head. Mariah felt the same strange feeling Psyria felt. Mariah turned around and saw Psyria.

"What the hell is that?!?!" yells Mariah.
"What is what?" asks Joey.

He turns around and repeats what Mariah said.

"Greetings, my name is Psyria the Gageni." said Psyria.

Mariah and Joey had a strange look on their faces. Psyria sighed and said "Gege"

"The thing from the lake, that was you," said Joey pointing to Psyria.
"Indeed," said Psyria.
"What are you doing here?" asks Mariah.
"It was you who freed the crystal right?" asks Psyria.
"Yeah...why?" asks Joey.
"Because you also freed the sixteen unwanteds" said Psyria.
"Huh?" asks Mariah and Joey.
"I'll explain...Thousands year ago, before humans were born. Pokémon inhabited the earth. Each type of Pokémon had their own territory with a one of a kind Pokémon leader. Kirino was the leader of the Dark-Types. He treated his fellow Dark-Types horribly. He'd go out and kill them, just for fun. He spread his evil to the sixteen other leaders. Soon almost every territory of Pokémon were horrible. The only territory that wasn't this way was mine. I was the leader of the Psychic-Types. I treated my followers very well. When I heard of the horrors happening in the other territories I let their followers into the Psychics' land. There everyone was respected and happy except for the sixteen other leaders. They demanded that I give their people back. I refused, I don't want the Pokémon to suffer thanks to them. They tried many times to kill me, never worked. Then they put a curse on my territory. Making eternal darkness and they came into the village and destroyed it. Pokémon of my village were lost that day. It was awful. I was not only a leader but the guardian of the crystal with strange powers. I used my crystal on them and turned them into hieroglyphs on the walls of where I kept my crystal. After that, I hid my crystal in a rock, hoping no one will ever find it. I also put an end to the territories by letting the Pokémon live anywhere. I was honored and respected as a great leader for them. I from then on traveled all over the place to watch over the Pokémon. Now that you freed the crystal, they've all come back. They'll try to take over the world just like they did thousands of years ago. They're also out looking for me, to get revenge" explained Psyria.

Mariah and Joey looked at each other after Psyria totally explained. They took another look at Psyria.

"You mean, we're responsible for destroying the world," said Mariah.
"Yes, but there is one way to stop them," said Psyria.
"How?" Mariah and Joey ask at the same time.
"It won't be easy, but if we get that crystal, maybe we can return them to the temple as they were before. Since you two are the ones who freed them you must help. I must help too since I was the one who turned them that way in the first place," said Psyria.
"I'll do it," said Joey.
"But it's too dangerous," said Mariah.
"Mariah, we're responsible for freeing those bastards, we've got to send them back," said Joey.
"I don't know," said Mariah.
"You must, you're very powerful. I can sense it. That is what led me here" said Psyria.

Mariah turned away, she didn't wanna do this at all. Psyria turned her head sharply.

"He's here!" yells Psyria flying to the window.
"He who?" asks Joey following him.
"Kirino" said Psyria.

Mariah looked out as well. They saw a nine foot tall black raptor walking around. He was using his Shadow Ball to destroy the town. He turned his head and saw them standing near the window. He roared and ran toward the window. They all ran away. Kirino broke through the window and ran after them. He broke all the tables in the lab to try and get them but he always missed. Mariah opens a door leading to the basement. When Kirino came she closed the door, pushing him down the stairs. When he was down there, she closed the door and locked it.

"Good thinking Mariah," said Joey.
"I just remembered all the times we got locked in the basement," said Mariah.
"We'd best leave, that'll keep him locked up not for long." said Psyria.

They ran out of the lab as fast as they could. They kept running until they froze in front of the lake. They saw a dead Croconaw with pieces of him missing on the shore. Mariah sank to the ground. Joey turned around with his back facing the Croconaw. He put his hands over his face. They both were breathing hard.

"What did that Psyria?" asks Mariah.
"Jawot, the Sharkton. He was the leader of the Water-Types, he's in that lake. We'd better warn others to stay out of the lake," said Psyria.
"What about Kirino?" asks Joey.
"He'll go to the mountains nearby, he's just passing through the town," said Psyria.
"Can we leave this place?" asks Mariah.
"Yeah, that'll be a good idea" said Psyria.

They turned around and walked away. Jawot rose his head out of the water, he let out a small roar and went back underwater.
