Let’s baby-sit!

Chapter 1

One late afternoon, around 4:00, Jessie, James and Meowth were all sitting around in their TR cabin in viridian forest when all of a sudden, the video phone rang.

VP: Ring! Ring! ring! Ring! ring! ring! Phone call! phone call! Ring! Ring! ring! Ring! ring! ring! Phone call! Phone call!

Jessie: uhh! I’m painting my finger nails! James can you get that? Meowth is taking another one of his 18-hour naps again!

James: Sure Jess.

*James picks up the ringing video phone in their small kitchen.*

James: Uhh Hello?

Giovanni: James it’s me, the boss.

James: Eeeep! Well uhh hello sir…heh…

Giovanni: Can you please turn the video screen on James?

James: oh uh sure boss.

*James turns on the video screen. The boss is standing there with his left arm around Esther facing the video.*

James: Oh hello Esther!

Esther: Hi James! Listen, Vanni and I wanted to go out tonight and have a nice quiet dinner and we were wondering…

Giovanni: If you and Jessie could watch the kids for us?

James: Oh that sounds nice!! Jessie and I were planning on having kids!

*Giovanni looks strangely at James*

James: *nervously* Oh someday of course! Not right now!heh… heh...We are only 19 and not even married yet!

Giovanni: oh yes,well of course of course.

James: Well which ones do you want Jess and I to baby sit?

Esther: Just Giovanni jr. and Giovanna. The other three are with Josh. They are going to some pokemon show at around 4:30 and Giovanni jr. and Giovanna didn’t want to go. Plus it would be too much of a hassle for josh to handle all 5 kids together like that.

Giovanni: well that about sums it up.

James: well what time will we be babysitting them till?

Giovanni: around 4:00 maybe.

James: that doesn’t seem too bad… how much do jess and I get?

Esther: how’s $3,000 each and a week off for both off you?

James: Great! We’ll do it! But boss?

Giovanni: yes James?

James: why didn’t you ask Cassidy and butch? Or anyone else for that matter?

Giovanni: *quickly* well we’ll be there at around 7:00 bye!

*the boss hangs up the phone.*

*Jessie walks into the kitchen*

Jessie: who was that dear?

*James hangs up the phone*

James: oh it was just the boss and his wife. They wanted to know if we could baby-sit.

Jessie: which ones? And how long? Oh and are we getting paid?

*James gently clamps his hand onto Jessie’s mouth.*

James: one question at a time sweetheart.

Jessie: ohmkph.

*James lets go and kisses her on the lips. Jessie smiles lovingly at James. He smiles back.*

James: to answer your three questions: Giovanni jr. and Giovanna, 4:00 Am, and Yes.

Jessie: oh ok. How much are we getting paid?

James: 3,000 and a week off.

Jessie: Wow! I wonder why they would pay so much.

James: yeah. They must really want to get rid of them…but I wonder why?

Jessie: me too…Hey when did they say they were coming?

James: around 7:00.

Jessie: maybe we should tidy up a bit before they get here. What do you think?

James: *smiles at her*I’m thinking I have a very smart girlfriend and future wife.

Jessie: *smiles back* so am I. now you clean the bathroom and the kitchen and I’ll clean the bedroom and the living room. Ok?

James: sounds good to me. Let’s get cleaning! Oh by the way, what color did you paint your nails dear?

Jessie: red with a stripe of black and a stripe of white. Team rocket colors.

James: oh I see. Nice choice.

Jessie: thanks. I thought so too.
