Chapter I: Midnight Sun
The warm
wind of summer swept through the forest, slightly cold by the night.
Both sun
and moon where shining, the green grass and flowers in both tree, ground and
bushes where showing health and beauty.
A Hoot-Hoot
flies through the trees, looking for a Rattata or Oddish to eat.
Suddenly it
turned sharply and flew away.
Golden,
Lavender and ebony shadows where walking past.
In a river
in the same forest, a school of Magikarps where swimming, eating what they
found edible.
Suddenly
they scatters, swimming away in panic.
Sapphire
shadows where floating just where they’ve been.
A herd of
Stantlers where dozing at the foot of a mountain, not far from the same forest.
Suddenly,
they all shoot their heads up, listening, then running in panic.
Ruby
shadows walked where they’ve been.
A mass of
brown shadows where moving nervously in a clearing, as another shadow, a lot
bigger than the other ones, jumped up on a stone.
Soon, the
golden, lavender and ebony shadows walked into the clearing.
Splashes
where heard, and sapphire shadows walked into the clearing.
At last,
the ruby shadows came stalking into the clearing.
Rose, the
old Eevee, looked at all the evolutions in front of her.
Black, with
shining rings, Umbreon.
Purplish
pinkish white, with a shining pink gem, Espeon.
Both hates
each other like Weleek and Sera, now sits besides each other without any
grudges.
Blue, with
shiny blue eyes, Vaporeon.
Red, with
flames in their mane, Flareon.
Yellow,
with sparks in their fur, Jolteon.
Stone evolutions,
Doesn’t like each other much, even though Flareon and Jolteon can tolerate each
other.
Rose took a
deep breath.
“We have
all assembled tonight to watch our cousins grow, with the chose of all
evolutions that the great Sera gave us to survive, our packs will grow with
young fresh blood.”
“Now we
takes them one after one, evolve them and give them a name and pack.”
She
gestured to one of the brown shadows, Eevee, to walk towards the three stones
in front of the stone she was sitting on.
Taking a
deep breath, the Eevee touched a glowing stone.
It
immediately started to glow and change.
When he was
done, sparks flew over his Jolteon body.
The alpha
of the Jolteons spoke up, “Your name is Thunder.”
And with
that, Thunder walked over to his new pack.
The next
one was a female, she seemed confident and even before she reached the stones,
she evolved to an Espeon, admiring her new grace.
“Jewel.”
The alpha of the Espeons said, and she walked over to his pack.
All this
while, a little Eevee was thinking in the back of the Eevee pack.
‘Either
Vaporeon or Espeon, wich one to chose?’ he thought.
Watching
another Jolteon walk to her pack.
‘I take
Vaporeon.’ He finally decided.
It was his
turn soon, what no one in the clearing noticed, was that the sun and moon where
exactly on the same place over him, but on the opposite side.
Touching
the water stone, he glowed.
When he
stopped, everyone gasped, in his place a never before seen Eon, where standing.
A gem in
the face, like Espeon, a smooth skin like Vaporeon, only the same red as
Flareon.
Green eyes,
Tail the same as Umbreon, and a spiky mane as Jolteon.
It was so
quite that the wind that brushed the grass was the only thing they heard.
Suddenly
the alpha Umbreon bared his teeth and growled out an order.
The other
alphas followed, while Rose jumped back to the remaining Eevees and got them to
move from the clearing.
The new Eon
wondered what was going on, until he heard the whispers an growls meanings.
“Evil child
of Weleek!”
“Demon!”
He soon
figured it wasn’t good.
When an
Umbreon suddenly leapt at his throat, he was prepared and jumped to the side.
A Vaporeon
clamped it’s sharp fangs in his side, not that deep, but the blood ran
nonetheless.
The Eon
jumped aside, making a bit of skin rip off.
He then ran
towards the dark trees.
But he
didn’t get that far, as the fastest of evolutions ran in front of him.
A Thunder
Shock later, and he ran again.
Another
Jolteon tried to stop him with it’s Pin-missile, wounds began to open, but he
still ran.
The Eon
soon found himself at the foot of a mountain, and when he started to climb it,
the Jolteons gave up.
But he
still had the rest after him, the only ones that weren’t hunting him where the
Eevees.
As he ran,
he sensed water, and ran that way.
It was the
river that the Vaporeons had come in, now he jumped in and started to swim
towards the other side.
Now the
Flareons gave up, only Umbreon, Vaporeon and Espeon left.
But after
the river, the ground became more rocky, and Vaporeon gave up, as it’s soft
paws couldn’t be on that ground.
After the
new Eon had climbed higher, the other two evolutions gave up.
But the Eon
didn’t stay, it didn’t stay until it collapsed under a bush on a field.
Stormy
shook his head, trying to not to laugh at Evershine’s look.
Evershine
had her beak drilled into a tree, a Weedle was crawling as fast it could from
it’s place under the bird.
Stormy was
a Pidgeotto, the same with Evershine, his family had promised that he’d teach
Evershine how to hunt.
So far they
weren’t successful.
Evershine
soon where able to break herself from the tree, She turned around and glared at
Stormy, ruffling her feathers.
“What’s so
funny?!” she said angrily.
“N-Nothing!”
Stormy said, gasping for air on the same time.
“Then,
shouldn’t we try again?” she said, still angry.
“Sure!”
Stormy said, “But this time on an open place.” He added as an afterthought.
They landed
on a field, keeping an eye on the Persian that where walking through.
“So what am
I going to hunt now?” Evershine asked, looking around.
Stormy
looked around, and spotted an familiar movement in the grass, “Rattata.”
“Where is
it?” Evershine asked, excited.
“See the
movement in the grass?” Stormy asked, when she nodded he continued, “It is
there.”
He where
almost not able the finish, until Evershine swished up in the air.
Then she
dove straight at where the movement was, only that it wasn’t there when she
reached the ground.
“As I was
about to say; Strike a bit in front of the movement.” Stormy said, as he came
over the Evershine that where digging after her talons in the ground.
“Screw
this! I want to play!” Evershine said later, after about ten tries at getting a
Rattata.
Stormy
rolled his eyes, deciding to keep his beak shut.
“I know! We
play Hide and Seek!” Evershine said excited, “I wanna hide!”
“Fine.”
Stormy sighed, knowing that she always got what she wanted.
“Count to
fifty!” Evershine flew from him.
Stormy
landed and started to count, “One, Two, Three, Four…”
Evershine
looked around for a good spot to hide in.
Suddenly
she spotted a thick bush in the middle of a field, flying down, she walked
under it.
She laid
down and whispered, “He’s never gonna find me here.”
Suddenly
she felt something warm against her side, turning her head in that direction,
she screamed.
