Brock's Revenge

The next morning, Ash, Misty, and Brock finally left the forest behind and with help of Gary’s directions, they finally arrived to Olivine City.

“Finally! No more camping out and bugs for a long time!” Misty said happily.

“The beach! Ladies here I come.” Brock turns to gaga mode.

“And I am going to win that badge!” Ash said, “Pika!” Pikachu agrees. Ash runs the Olivine City Gym at top speed. Misty and Brock trying to keep up, “Ash, slow down!” Misty yells. Ash keeps running until he stops in front of the gym, a minute later, Misty and Brock finally catch up.

Ash reads the poster on the gym door: Do to some emergency, the Olivine City Gym is close, the gym will be open with further notices. “No! The gym is closed, what do we do now?”

“Shopping will be nice.” Misty said. Ash remembers the last time Misty went to shopping, he has to carry everything she buys, which is a lot.

“I have to take care some business.” Brock said.

            “Girls on beach?” Ash asks.

“No, it’s about you two.” Brock said, smiling evilly.

            “It’s about us?” Misty asks.

“You’ll see.” Brock starts to walk away.

“What do we do now?” Ash asks, hoping Misty doesn’t say the mall.

“We should go to the Pokemon Center and get our Pokemon healed.” Misty said.

            “Good idea.” Ash said, relieved.

At the Pokemon Center, Misty is feeding Togepi and Pikachu; Ash is reading a Pokemon magazine. About an hour or so, Brock came back to the Pokemon Center with high spirit, smiling broadly. He noticed both Pikachu and Togepi is playing, and decide to put his plan in to action. “Hey Misty, when I was walking in the town, I saw a HUGE mall and it has a lot of discounted stuff, maybe you and Ash should go over there and check it out.”

Misty was very happy, but Ash scowled, going to the mall with Misty means couple of endless hour carrying tons of stuff.

Misty said to the Pokemon, “Pikachu, Togepi, do you two want to come with us?”

Brock said worried, “Can’t you see they are playing, I am sure that they won’t want to go? Right” Brock gives them a look.

Pikachu and Togepi shook their head, looking at Brock.

Outside of the Pokemon Center, Ash talks to Misty, “Maybe we should browse around the town for a while, since we don’t know where is the mall.”

Misty agreed with him. They walk from shop to shop, restaurant to restaurant. There is a strong urge in Ash’s mind that told him to hold Misty’s hand, but knowing if he dared to hold Misty’s hand, he’ll get a slap on the face so he ignored it.

They stop in front of a fast food restaurant, they decide go in because Ash is very hungry. They went in order some food, sat down and starting to eat. Ash is almost inhaling the burger while Misty eating at a normal pace. “Slow down, no one is going to take your food away. People are start to looking at us.” Misty whispered across the table.

Ash turn around and look at some of the people and notice them staring at him; he turn back quickly. Ash was embarrassed, he look at Misty, she’s finished with her meal, Ash finishes his burger and whispers, “Let’s get out of here.”

Misty glance the room, “Good idea.”

Both of them hurried out of the restaurant, they walk about ten minutes before finding a nice park. They saw two people battling. One is using a Gyarados; the other one is using a Bayleef. Both trainers seem very skilled and know what they are doing.

Bayleef throw couple of powerful Razor Leafs, the Gyarados leap sideways dodging the attack and send a powerful Hyper Beam at the Bayleef, knocking it out instantly. Both trainer returned their Pokemon; they shook hand, and the guy with the Gyarados walk away.

Ash and Misty walks up to the person with the Bayleef, they notice the trainer is one their old friends, Casey.

“Hi Ash, Hi Misty, I haven’t seen you guys for a long time. So how it going?” Casey asked.

“Hi Casey, we’re doing fine.” He look at Misty, she is thinking about something, he wave his hand in front of Misty’s face, “Misty are you O.K.?”

“Yeah, I am fine. Hey Casey, the guy with the Gyarados you just battle, is his name Samuel Waterson?”

“Yeah, how you know?” asks Casey.

“Yeah, how come I don’t know that Water-boy guy?” Ash said, little angry.

“What Ash, are you jealous or something?” Casey teased.

“I’m not jealous, in fact, I have know idea why should I be jealous.” Ash lied.

Misty, in deep thoughts, hasn’t heard what they said. “It’s been nice meeting you Casey, but I don’t feel so good, I am going back to the Pokemon Center.”

“Well I got to run now, I hope I see you guys soon.” Casey said.

“Same here.” “Bye.”

“So, who is this Water-boy guy?” ash asked.

“He is my next-door neighbor Cerulean City, we were great friends when we were young, but I don’t want to talk about him.” Misty answered; she sits down at a park bench.

Ash sits down next to her, “I wonder where is Team Rocket, we haven’t seen them for a long time.”

Then 3 figures jog towards them.

“Prepare for trouble, we’re right in front of you face”

“Make it double, we’re keeping up our pace”

“To protect the world from devastation”

“To unit all people within our nation”

“To denounce the evils of truth and love”

“To extend our reach to the stars above”

“Jessie”

“James”

“Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light”

“Surrender now, or prepare to fight”

“Meowth, that’s right”

“Waba”

Both Ash and Misty stand up got one of their Poke Ball, ready the fight. “We don’t have Pikachu, so get lost.” Ash told them.

“We don’t want your Pikachu this time, how about a practice battle.” Jessie said.

“My pleasure, Bayleef go!” Ash commands.

“Poliwhirl, I choose you!”

“Go get them Arbok!” “You too Weezing!”

The Pokemon got into position, Meowth tip toed behind Ash and Misty.

“Sludge!” “Poison Sting!”

“Counter with Water Gun!”

“Bayleef, Vine Vhip!”

The powerful jet of water canceled both attack, two vines came out of Bayleef and whack both Arbok and Weezing on the head. Meanwhile, Meowth got a metal handcuff out, he lock Ash’s right leg and Misty’s leg together, Ash and Misty have no idea time happened. Meowth tip toed back to Jessie and James, tells them his job is done.

Jessie and James return their Pokemon, “Bye bye twerps, have a nice day, if you can.”

Jessie, James, and Meowth walked away, they seemed very happy. Ash tries to catch up to them, when we run, he trip on his right leg, and because of Ash’s weight, Misty also trips, she falls on Ash.

“What happened?” They tried to get up, but then they realized what had happen.

“No! Hey what’s this?” Misty wonder, on the floor there is a note. Misty reads it out loud:

Dear twerps:

Sorry for locking you two up, but someone hired us to do this, but we can’t tell you who. The lock is made from the material we used to make the Poke Pod, which means it is indestructible; you can only unlock the lock with a key. Good luck twerps.

                                                                                                Jessie, James, and Meowth

“How are we going to find this stupid key? And I have to be stuck with a scrawny.” Ash stated.

“I AM NOT A SCRAWNY!” Misty takes out her mallet hit Ash’s hard. “Let’s get back to the Pokemon Center then we’ll think of something up.” Misty said angrily.

Both of them are very angry with Team Rocket, but they are also happy that they can be close to each other. It took them almost 10 minutes to get up, and they walk slowly back to the Pokemon Center.

Meanwhile back at the Pokemon Center, Brock the playing with a small key, “This is going to be so fun.” He said to himself.

About 30 minutes later, Ash and Misty has finally arrived at Pokemon Center, they are both very tired. They found Brock talking to Nurse Joy, probably asking for a date, Brock came back with head low, from the looks of it, he failed to get a date from Nurse Joy, again. They told Brock what had happen, Brock act very innocent, “Wow, Team Rocket is smart enough to do all that?”

“They said someone hired them.” Misty told Brock.

“Who want to lock us up?” Ash asks them both.

“That’s a very good question Ash.” Misty commended.

“How will you guy go to the restroom?” Brock asked. Both Ash and Misty blushed.

“We’ll figure it out, but the important part is find the key.” Misty reminds them.

“I’ll try to find the key, you two just be nice to each other. And here,” Brock throw them a key with a card on it, the card reads 26. “That’s your room.”

Ash and Misty went to their room while Brock went out to get some potions for their Pokemon. Misty sat down on the couch, watching T.V. Ash sat next to her, reading a Pokemon magazine. Ash flipped through the pages and saw a picture of Samuel Waterson. He read to article to himself, Samuel Waterson, an extraordinary Water Pokemon trainer, had just receive the title of Water Pokemon Trainer master. Waterson only catch and train Water Pokemon, have catched all Water Pokemon except the legendary Suicune. Waterson had started his Pokemon journey at the age of ten from Cerulean City, his first Pokemon is Squirtle. Waterson had never lost a Pokemon battle, even against Electric and Grass types. They said he’s strong? I bet I could beat him, but how did Misty know this guy?

He turn to Misty, ask “Can you tell me about Samuel Waterson? But if you don’t want to talk about him, it’s okay.”

Misty turn off the T.V. with the remote control, she sat there for few minutes. Then she finally speaks, “Do you really want to know?”

            “Yeah.”

“Okay. Like I said before, he’s my next door neighbor and we’re great friends. Then one day we are talking about Pokemon, he asks me if I like to travel with him when we get our first Pokemon. I said okay, but the day before we get our first Pokemon we had a huge argument and it turn into a fight, I said things I shouldn’t say about him. The next day, he left Cerulean City without me and I never saw him again until today. He told me before I leave, the next time I see him, I’ll be looking at a Water Pokemon trainer.” Misty finished, feeling guilty.

“And he did become a Water Pokemon master.” Ash tells Misty, handing over the magazine.

“He did!?” Misty read through the article, feeling very proud that her friend had achieve his goal, but still guilty for what she said.

“Don’t feel bad, if you hadn’t yell at him, he’ll probably still be a loser like me.” Ash chuckles.

“You are not a loser, you won the Orange league, and you are probably a better trainer then Samuel Waterson.” Misty encourages him.

“That meant a lot, coming from you, thanks.” Ash said happily.

“No prob.” Misty turns off the T.V. on again, after couple of minutes, Ash felt a head laid softly on his shoulder, Misty had fallen asleep, and they did have a rough day. Ash decided that he’ll need some sleep too, he turn off the T.V., put a arm around Misty, and fell asleep in matter seconds.
