"Pikachu!" Peppermint cried, leading her pokemon friends into the forest, the moon glimmered brightly. The friends included Firestorm the Charmeleon, Minoru the Bulbasaur, Moonshine the Ghastley, Fruity the Bellsprout, Torch the Growlithe, Granite the Sandshrew, Fang the Raticate, Blossom the Clefairy, Honey the Eevee, and Jenta the Butterfree.

"Raticate!" Fang growled, he had not gotten along with the pokemon at first and stayed close to Squall whenever he was released.

"Bulba!" Minoru scolded, trying to keep him down. The three trainers were asleep and they wanted to have some fun besides battling. The forest was more silent since the bugs were asleep, Moonshine often vanished and came up behind someone and scared them and reappeared where she once was.

In the night, the full moon shined everything up. (Bayline only transforms on the first night of the full moon!) The trees and bushes looked like silent priests with their bark design and the moon’s light shining on them. The leaves swayed with the gentle breeze and clouds often soared across the moon, blocking its light and making short moments of tense darkness.

"Char…" Firestorm growled, she led the way, even when the moon was shining, it wasn’t lighting their path. Firestorm pointed ahead, Peppermint and the others looked. A large, seemly abandoned manor with a weed-covered driveway and vine-covered walls stood out among the moonlight.

The paint on the old shudders were peeling and the glass of the windows were dusty and had small holes. The door was ajar, swinging slightly to and from. Moonshine cackled, seeing her chance and drifted towards it, then vanished.

"Pikachu!" Peppermint cried after her. She didn’t respond, but a blood-curling scream filled the air. The pokemon were frightened and backed away.

"Bulba!" Minoru growled, thinking it was Moonshine. But he wasn’t the only one thinking that.

"Pika!" Peppermint cried, "Pikachu!" she pointed at the mansion then looked at her friends. They stared at her, some shivered. But most of them agreed.

"Charmeleon!" Firestorm encouraged as she led the way once again. But once they reached the door, Peppermint was shoved to the front of the group.

"Pikachu…" Peppermint shivered, she walked up to the door and peeked inside. "Pika!" she shouted, walking in. They followed.

"Bell…" Fruity said with excitement. Fang looked around, his nose scenting the place. Torch, Firestorm, and Fang instantly looked hypnotized.

"Pika pi!" Peppermint cried as she smelled meat, someone was luring them away with meet! Torch led the way into the darkness, only his nose was guiding him. Firestorm’s tail was too swallowed by the darkness for some unknown reason. Fang was the last one in the trio who followed the tasty scent.

"Eevee!" Honey called after them, but none of them could follow in pitch darkness. When their eyes adjusted to the darkness a little with the help of the moon’s light leaking in through the window, they looked around.

Cobwebs were in every corner, the stairs were caked with dust and dirt. The velvet carpet and walls were fading. And the air was eerie and consisted of meat. The smaller group looked around, calling out for Moonshine and the other three.

"Bulbasaur!" Minoru cried out. A sound of chains responded, it echoed from a door not far from them. Moonshine was probably playing around, but what were there chains here for?

The group edged closer to the wooden door. When they were close enough, the door opened. Jenta fluttered inside it, since she could fly, not much could reach her. But once the darkness swallowed her, she never came back. Peppermint, Blossom, Honey, Fruity, Minoru, and Granite were shivering.

"Pilachu!" Peppermint cried out, they noticed concrete stairs and climbed two by two down it. Peppermint and Fruity, Blossom and Honey, and Minoru and Granite. A light began to shine, Minoru and Granite’s steps went silent. The four turned around.

"Pi!" Peppermint squeaked, Minoru and Granite had fallen into a trapdoor! The hidden door re-latched itself again. The four looked at each other and got closer and went down the stairs. The light belonged to a flame, the flame belonged to Firestorm! But before they cried out, the flame showed the outlines of an angry dragon pokemon, it was a charizard.

"Pikaaaa!" Peppermint cried as it opened it’s mouth and roared, blood gushed out and it moved towards them. The four began to run. Peppermint somehow got in front of them.

"Clefairy!"

"Sand!" Blossom had tripped and Granite was behind her, the dragon’s mouth swallowed Granite hole, and Blossom was right behind him. Honey, Fruity, and Peppermint ran faster up. When they reached the top and closed the door, they looked at each other.

"Heew," the sound of someone breathing clumsily approached them. They looked ahead, a mummified person was dragging chains along with it, and it was walking towards the two. Honey and Peppermint ran down the hall next to the door. Honey and Fruity were slower and fell behind, soon, they fell through rotted floor wood.

"Pika!" Peppermint shouted, but the thing was still after her so she ran harder.

"Pikachu…" she stopped and looked up, a portrait above her once held a woman, but now a skeleton woman! A skeleton maid appeared next to it and dusted it, then looked at Peppermint. "Pikaaaa!" Peppermint ran down the hall to the right and began to panic.

Thud! Something landed on Peppermint, she looked up to find Jenta flying back up clumsily. "Pikachu!" Peppermint cheered, but they quickly continued down the hall as the maid, mummy, and dragon came after them.

"Bulba!" Minoru and Granite slid out of a hole in the wall and almost hit Peppermint. Peppermint and Jenta went past them, when they spotted the three, they were on their heels.

"Eevee!" Honey and Fruity fell out of the ceiling and onto Jenta, she landed on all four and ran next to Peppermint, not knowing why they were running. Fruity ran, but jumped onto Minoru’s bulb for a ride.

As soon as they ran across the door that led to the kitchen, Torch, Firestorm, and Fang walked out of it. They saw the running pokemon, and the chasing scare trio. They ran after their poke’buddies.

"Pikachu!" The pokemon cried out for Moonshine, they saw the entrance and ran out of it, Moonshine reappeared and laughed.

"Heeww," Moonshine stopped laughing and looked behind her, her eyes widened as the mummy almost touched her and flew off with the others.

"Hahaha!" The three laughed as they pulled off their masks. Coco the Dragon, Bayline the Maid, and Squall the Mummy revealed themselves.

"That teaches them not to wander off without us," Bayline laughed as they saw Firestorm’s flame go through the forest.

"Yeah! But who played the portrait?" Coco asked. Squall and Coco looked at Bayline, who shrugged.

"I thought one of you did it since I dusted it!" Bayline growled. The same woman cackling sounded, the three trainers dropped their costume and looked in, their eyes widened.

"Ahhh!" The three ran through the forest back to camp, leaving the door wide open.

"I guess they never heard of a movie’s special effect before?" a movie director said as he and his crew appeared, "Well, at least we know it looks real enough to scare trainers!" They laughed as the sun rose up and they started setting up the movie set.
