Blue Shadow & Red Inferno
Aspendragon
Part 4
"Crispin, Rynn, Gizmo! Wake! It’s time to leave! My spell is completely useless now!" Matilda’s voice said with nervousness. Rynn awoke quickly and woke up Crispin, who refused to listen to the lady. Gizmo was already bouncing around and crawling up the walls.
"Hurry, I prepared a bag of medicine and food for you!" Matilda said, urging them out the door. She handed Rynn a leather bag and urged them out.
"Go that way and you’ll see the village! I wish you luck!" Matilda said as she pointed right.
"Well, I know the perfect way of making this journey fast." Rynn grinned.
"What might that be?" Crispin asked as Gizmo began walking in the direction. Rynn took and scooped the spider up.
"By racing! Beat you there!" Rynn laughed. Crispin ran after her.
"You can’t beat me Vulpix!" Crispin growled as he ran at her side.
"You wanna bet?" she asked as she whizzed by him again.
"Hey! Wait! I wasn’t ready!" Crispin shouted after her. The ground went whizzing under her faster and faster. Rynn held a petrified Gizmo, he was obviously not used to the tremendous speed.
"Could you slow down? Please!" Gizmo begged.
"No! We’re almost there!" she said to him, he closed his eyes tight. "Hey! There’s the village! Huh!" She stopped suddenly. Sending Gizmo out of her arms and several yards away from her. Swirls took place of his eyes.
"Why the heck did you stop?" Crispin asked loudly as he nearly tripped as he stopped. Rynn was looking forward. When he looked ahead. He gasped and stared as well. The village of Yellow Fork was in ruins, the hoothoots and murkrows were on the trees nearby. With the villagers. Mounds were everywhere.
"What happened?" Rynn asked a villager as they ran toward them. Gizmo awoke and followed. The villagers looked at them.
"You must be the ones we were told about!" a man said. Rynn sweat-dropped as everyone started thanking them for coming and a lot more began telling the story.
"They came out of nowhere-"
"Thank you!"
"We didn’t know what they were after-"
"Someone started cackling like mad!"
"Thank you so very much!"
"Are you here to help us?"
"Now now, we are here to help! But we need to know what happened, you. Tell me what happened?" Rynn asked fiercely at a woman near her.
"Well, we were doing our daily routine when Matilda’s birds came and everyone gathered to hear what they wanted to deliver. But a sudden storm came, black zubats, golbats, and crobats appeared and raided out village. Then a mad cackling came, as well as a shaggy umbreon who seemed to be the only thing the bats listened to." The woman explained. "Then, the umbreon returned the bats to the sky and blasted the village with awesome dark powers. We were flabbergasted…"
"The death toll was fifteen, we buried them before you arrived," another person added.
"It looks like the witch struck again," Crispin growled. Gizmo nodded. The bat pomemon were obviously controlled by Black magic like he was.
"Can you tell us we’re they headed?" Rynn asked.
"They headed East," one villager answered. "At least, that’s where the umbreon ran to." Villagers nodded. Crispin vanished.
"We thank you for your help, do you need any assistance with rebuilding your village before we move on?" The villagers shook their heads.
"As long as there is someone out there hunting down that witch! There’s a reason to continue living. If we rebuild without someone looking for her, then there’s another target to aim at," the woman said.
"Go on and destroy that evil being. We will rebuild our home and have somewhere for you to stay at the next time you visit."
"Thank you, good-bye." Rynn said as she ran on, Gizmo followed her. The villagers cheered as they ran on.
"Oh yeah! Gizmo! Where’s Crispin?" Rynn asked the spider, Gizmo shrugged.
"Okay, where’s the pokemon that were just here?" Crispin shouted at the villagers, they sweat-dropped and pointed at the vulpix and ariados up on the hill, looking down at him.
"Darn you! Who said you could leave me behind!?!" he shouted as he ran toward them.
"Who said you were leader!" Rynn shouted back as he rejoined them. "Where did you go anyway?"
"It’s none of your business!" Crispin growled, Rynn flamed him.
"It is too!" she shouted as he put the fire out by smoldering it with Dark power.
"No it is not!"
"Is too!"
"Is not!"
"Is too!"
"Is not!"
"IS!"
"NOT!"
"You two would make a good couple." Gizmo said slyly.
"Shut it Spider!" Crispin growled as Rynn started running.
"Now where did she go?" Crispin asked.
"Hello! Come on! We can’t stop forever!" Rynn shouted from on top of a hill. Crispin and Gizmo ran after her.
"You could’ve waited!" Crispin yelled.
"Said who?"
"I did!"
"Come on you two," Gizmo chuckled as he walked ahead of them.
"Yeah, come on Eonboy," Rynn laughed.
"The name’s Crispin! Not Eonboy!" Crispin shouted. The clouds above them began to gather and turn gray. When Crispin reached Rynn and Gizmo, the wind was blowing hard.
"Where did this storm come from?" Rynn asked as it began to pour.
"Hurry! Under that tree!" Gizmo shouted as they ran under a thick oak. The storm became worse.
"This tree won’t do us much if that storm continues to get worse!" Crispin growled. Rynn looked around as Gizmo tried to pin himself to the ground to keep from blowing away.
"Ah!" Rynn cried as she grabbed the tree’s trunk as a powerful blast of wind uprooted younger trees. Gizmo’s legs dug into the ground. Crispin walked into the wind, but it was pushing him back so he tried to stand his ground.
"If this is too overwhelming for you! Wait till you see my most powerful techniques! Bahahaha!" the witch’s voice laughed.
"Crispin! I don’t know how much longer I can hold on! It’s too slippery!" Rynn shouted as she tried to bite into the tree. Her claws tried to get through the thick bark, but the fangs were only things that could get through the first layer.
"Just hold on for a second okay!" Crispin shouted as his hands glowed black. "HIDDEN POWER!" Balls of white surrounded Crispin then flung straight in several different directions. Thankfully, they didn’t hit Rynn or Gizmo. The balls exploded several yards away. The storm weakened.
"Are you all right Crispin?" Rynn asked as she clung to the tree since the storm was still present.
"Fine," he said, "I hadn’t used that attack in a while…so I am a bit tired," Gizmo was shivering.
"Are you cold Gizmo?" Rynn asked.
"L-look…" Gizmo gasped, pointing ahead of them. Rynn and Crispin looked as saw thousands of black beedrill and scythers coming this way.
"Are they strong enough to fly right through the storm?" Rynn gasped.
"Of course, being controlled by Black magic can make you more stronger, and more stupid!" Crispin answered.
"Any ideas?" Gizmo asked as he crawled over behind Rynn.
"Yeah, but its risky…" Crispin muttered as he put his hand towards the sky. The moon was appearing in the dark blue sky. It shined as Crispin’s eyes glowed an eerie aqua color.
"MOONLIGHT POWER!" The moon’s light shone bright in rays towards them all, the storm weakened then died. Gizmo and Rynn came out of their hiding place by the tree. The bugs lost their black color and landed. The bugs looked around and shrugged then flew away. The moon’s light then reflected onto Crispin, his eyes were closed and he was levitating a few inches off the ground.
A soft breeze came as the moon’s rays of light faded and let Crispin fall gently to the ground onto his back.
"Crispin! Are you all right?" Rynn asked, shocked as she and Gizmo ran over to him. She bent over his. Rynn gasped and Gizmo stared, his eyes shined.
The moon left him a gift.
To be continued…
School’s out! Yay! Also no more doorstore! I’m happy, but having a twenty-three month old sister and an eight-month-old brother doesn’t make me feel free…
